My other passion

    My other passion

Aside from my houseful of pets, plants are my other passion. I have over 100 of them in my house and who knows how many outside in pots on my deck. Here is a picture I took this morning of one of my rose bushes.. I was so happy to see the numerous buds on this one this year.

They are very pretty.  I wish I could keep a plant alive.  The only thing I can grow very well is the lawn.

Love the rose bush. I too love gardening. Hubby and I planted seven pomegranate bushes a couple of weeks ago.

The only thing I can grow is potted plant.  [:(]  No beautiful garden.  My sister does have a small backyard and she's planning to grow something.  Mean time I'm just growing a simple wheat for fun........  [:D]

I love flower gardening, too! I haven't been able to plant anything at my place here because of the rabbit problem. They just come and eat everything. [:@]

I can't wait to get rid of the rabbits so I can garden!

I used to hate plants. i killed them as soon as they walked in my door. But last year I wanted my yard to look nice, since the house looks so crappy. I started to buy flatts and I was so proud of what I did last year. I couldn't wait to start this year. So I have planted almost every weekend now for 4 weeks and I plan on getting some more as I go. I can't believe I am enjoying this. I will post some pics later.

I love flowers. When I moved, I brought my huge rose bush with me (along with other plants). It doesn't seem to be in shock, so I'm thinking the plant will be fine.

Marlania, I'm taking that one and the other one with me when I move too. They were here when I moved in, but the buyers don't want them anyway. I have some others in the back yard, but they're quite young and not blooming yet as I bought them at the end of the season last year and never planted them they are still in the pots.

Most of the gardening I have done this year has been in containers, since I am suppose to be moving soon. Not sure what's going on with that again now. The close was suppose to be tomorrow but they didn't even get the appraisal for the bank until Friday, so it delays the close for the 2nd time. If it doesn't happen this time, I'm telling them I'm through. I can't keep going through this stress and putting everything on hold thinking I am going to move soon.

    wonderful plants...
I'm not very good with roses....I tried to plant a couple of cuttings from my mom's roses (amazing ones) but they don't take....
    I do love perenials though......

Oh, I'm jealous!  Beautiful ;plants! ... i have a black thumb, if it requires anything more than sitting in the sun and water it's probably going to die [:(]  Even then, it may or may not survive.  Thankfully i've had better luck with animals [:D]

Beautiful.  Can you recommend floers that do well in hanging baskets and flowers that do well in flower boxes?

I seem to have mixed results with plants.  Indoor plants I have no problem making a plant sing.  Outdoor however, my vegies struggle.  They break, wilt even with water, and get eaten before I can eat them.  *sigh*......I need an i-plant forum to pour my woes onto.  I like to cook, and bake like a demon though.   Jules

Trish, that's a lovely plant.  I share your passion with plants.  I'm much better with gardens than with houseplants.  They usually just hang on until summer so I can take them outside.  I'm slowly filling my gardens with perennials that I get @ flea markets & yard sales.    My gardens are slowly starting to look like something that I can be proud of.  Gardening is my therapy.  I love playing in the dirt & seeing things grow.
