Talk about a trip down memory lane!

I was a huge Facts of Life fan when that show was out, and finally after getting enough people requesting it and bugging them to bring it out on DVD it was released May 9th. I bought it and watched all 29 episodes in 2 days. I can remember watching them when I was younger.. it was great!

That same weekend they did a Brady Bunch marathon and I watched part of that.. hee hee.

    and Mister Rogers *embarrassing!!* Jules

I have a very embarrassing Mister Rogers obsession story for you. When I was in preschool and kindergarten my biggest problem was trying to get home to watch Mister Rogers and school let out right at the time it came on. I lived about 2 blocks from the school.

I thought I was slick and started to use the bathroom just before the bell so I could get out on time (seems like I always had to go right at the time school let out). The teacher caught on to me and wouldn't let me go during the last hour at all. I didn't want to take the time to go after the bell rang to dismiss school so I would run home and I would say that at least 3 days a week I peed on myself trying to get home to watch Mister Rogers and Woody Woodpecker.

My mom finally found out and ended up talking to the teacher and telling her that she could NOT stop me from using the bathroom no matter what time it was.

telling her that she could NOT stop me from using the bathroom no matter what time it was.

I believe that's a law now. At least in California. Teachers are not allowed to say "no" to bathroom requests.  Or maybe that's just my school? But I'm pretty sure it's a statewide law.

Anyway - I *loved* Batman when I was a kid. I remember having my baby brother fall asleep on my lap before it came on, and I couldn't get up to change the channel when it was time! [sm=eek.gif] Holy sleeping toddlers, Batman! I had to yell for my mom to come change the channel for me. LOL!

Also when I was a bit older -- Simon & Simon, Magnum PI, and Quincy MD. [:D]

Yeah.. they have those laws now.. but around 30 years ago when I was in preschool they didn't. I can remember that same teacher pulling my hair and dragging me around by my ear too and it was 'okay' then. [&:]

It's law here too. My kids laugh everytime my husband tells the story of how he had to go to the bathroom, he was in grade 2 and the teacher said no. So he told her he was going to poop his pants and she said no you wont. He was so mad at her he pushed and pooped his pants. Then to make matters worse they didn't call his parents. It was  just before school let out so they just sent him home. When he gets home he is locked out of the house, and him being the smallest to fit in a window his sister had to push his poopy butt through the window. Once his mother found out, he never had a problem with this teacher again.

So, funny Angel!  I went to BestBuy Saturday for the Golden Girls box set and come home with ROSEANNE!

I love Golden Girls and Roseanne too, but usually watch them every day on TV.

I had bought Fresh Prince when it first came out on DVD then got sick to death of it when they played it like crazy when it first went to Nick at Nite that now I could care less to see it.

I have Mad About You season 1 and 2 as well. I wish they would put more of them out on DVD. I'd also love to get Will and Grace.
