Rory's was supposed to be $800 from, a "breeder", that was before I knew the term BYB. I went to go pick her out when they were 4 weeks old, put down my deposit and when I came back to get her a 6 weeks later her back foot was bandaged up. She had gotten underneath the fence somehow into tthe kennel where they kept the male dogs and as she was reatreating to back under the fence to her litter mates one of the males latched onto her foot and ripped off a toe. The owner said that if I didnt want her at a discount then he had a buddy who had bought a lot of his pits who would taker her off his hands. If you havnt gotten my drift yet let me say that I had a bad feeling about this.
I said let me talk to the vet who tended to her foot and he was happy to put me in touch with him. The vet said that it didnt efect any tendons, neerves, or anything. It was already halfway heeled and since it happened when she was so young it shouldnt be a problem. i was worried that the loss of stability might effect her hips through her weight imbalance on one leg. He said that was a logiacal worry but since pit bulls are extremely muscualr dogs that her build and structure should be able to keep everything in line.
So to make a long story a lil shorter I got her for $300 and he said "I'll crop her ears for free", I passed on that obviously and to this day she has had not one problem with her foot. She can run at full capacity and dosnt mind it touched or bothered. Plus its in the middle so that helps!
