    West Wing Finale

Anyone watch this?  Wow!  What a carefully plotted last show.  Even DH got a bit teary!

I did watch it, and I was a little disappointed. :(  We watched the pilot episode that was on beforehand, and it just reminded me how much more I liked the show when it was fast-paced.  I wanted Toby's plotline resolved and a little more Josh and less train-wreck, too.  Oh well, it was good, just not as great as I wanted it to be. [:D

Now what am I going to do with my Sunday evenings? LOL!

Ah, see, we forgot that it was starting at 7.  So we didn't see that one.  Toby's situation WAS resolved when he signed the pardon......yeah, there wasn't much Josh....and yeah, the trainwreck was sort of a distraction, but I still really liked it.  I liked the salute to Leo, and I really LIKED seeing everything through the eyes of those who were LEAVING.

I guess by resolved I meant who gave him the info? :)  I did like the tribute to Leo and Sam, Donna, and Josh arriving back at the White House. It made me think they could have gone on with Santos as Pres and just kept those three as returning cast. [:D]

OK, got what you're saying about Toby....BUT, that would have been a whole 'nother show!!  I'm guessing that Toby would have been PO'd!

I thought it was really good.  Well written & had me getting misty eyed.  After it was over I thought "okay, now what?".  If it were football season, then I'd have no problem with sunday night tv but now what??

I began watching the show half-way into the first season, so I'd never seen the pilot episode.  I'm so mad at myself for forgetting to start my Tivo at 7pm instead of 8pm!   I, too, miss the fast-pace of those early years (back when Aaron Sorkin, the genius, was writing it).  However, I never stopped watching it.  I think it was one of the smartest shows to have ever been on TV.  My favorite character was Leo (I think John Spencer was a superb actor).  To have the character and the actor die so suddenly just broke my heart.  It just wasn't the same without him on the show.

I'm glad Josh and Donna got together, and I liked the way they had CJ's life turn to a non-White House career.  I agree they could've kept the show going with the remaining staff and Santos and Vinnick together -- I'd definitely tune in.  But, now I'll have more free time on Sunday nights, until football season (Annie T, it sounds like we have similar Sundays!).

~LOL~ Tracy, Sunday's during football season are for waching football, folding laundry & taking naps.   Usually in that order. :o)
