I agree. Jes shone through. I knew his final test had to be something personal. And what could be more personal than a chronic health condition such as his. He needs to make sure that whoever is with him has the cajones to to grab the hypo and jab him with it, without hesitation. And she totally rocked by foregoing the great dinner in lieu of just relaxing with him. I remember a couple of decades ago when there was a rumor that he was a junkie because someone snapped a pic of him with a needle backstage. At that time, he went ahead and explained his Diabetes. And I could see where the carrying-on of the show is going to take it's toll.
And notice how he pursued the emotionally guarded girl. DW liked her the best because she always kept her wits about her. At any party, she could make one beer last the entire evening, while the others were falling down, puking, and barely keeping their eyes open. And, rather than talk down to them, she helped them to the bathroom. Funny thing is, Michaels is around my age, approximately 20 years older than her. But she was the most mature.
And yes, we plan to watch the reunion show and we wonder if Heather will show up for that. she left in a huff.
