Believe it or not, Spencer, some have compared me to looking like James Hetfield. But my playing style is closer to the soloing work and acoustic work of his mate, Kirk Hammett. And I think my voice sounds more like Klaus Meine from the Scorpions. But I do happen to have the album of Metallica playing with a symphonic orchestra. The album is called S & M, as in symphony and Metallica.

And Billy, thanks for thinking of me.[:D]

[sm=wink2.gif]Very nice Ron!!  Definitely loving the hair cut..

Looks great!  I agree that your eyes stand out more with it shorter.  And I notice the body simply because my hair behaves that way as well.  I need an inch cut off at this point because it's getting too long again.

Wow Ron! What a change but it does look good.

I had cut all my hair off once and the biggest adjustment to change for me was trying to remember I didn't need near as much shampoo or conditioner when it was short. [;)]

In our town, we have 3 wells and really soft water. So, I'm used to going easy on the shampoo, otherwise it takes forever to rinse out. But I still cut back and it was still too much. But I'll figure it out, yet.

That's exactly who I thought of when I saw the "BEFORE" picture!

I really like the short style, Ron - for all the reasons mentioned already:  your eyes really stand out, it makes you look younger.  Plus, after wearing long hair for an extended period, it's good to cut it off and start over with some "fresh," healthy hair.  I'd been wearing mine really long for 2 or 3 years, and between the hair dryer and flat iron, it was getting yucky.  So, I cut it much shorter this year, and it's feeling so much better (not that you've been a slave to a hair dryer or flat iron! [&:])

One side effect I wasn't expecting when I cut my hair super short once was how cold my neck was - I could feel every draft.  But you won't have that problem in your neck of the woods (no pun intended)!

Yes, I can truly be a redneck without any hair to block the sun.

I started growing my hair out really long in 1993. Cut it 2000. Grew it out again. Cut it this time and I may grow it out, yet again. Some of the hair was breaking at the ponytail ring and getting too dried out. And sometimes it does help hair to just start over again. I like having long hair but I want it to look right. OTOH, having hair so short I can comb with the swipe of a hand is kind of neat, too.
