But my playing style is closer to the soloing work and acoustic work of his mate, Kirk Hammett. And I think my voice sounds more like Klaus Meine from the Scorpions. But I do happen to have the album of Metallica playing with a symphonic orchestra. That's exactly who I thought of when I saw the "BEFORE" picture!    I really like the short style, Ron - for all the reasons mentioned already:  your eyes really stand out, it makes you look younger.  Plus, after wearing long hair for an extended period, it's good to cut it off and start over with some "fresh," healthy hair.  I'd been wearing mine really long for 2 or 3 years, and between the hair dryer and flat iron, it was getting yucky.  So, I cut it much shorter this year, and it's feeling so much better (not that you've been a slave to a hair dryer or flat iron! Cut it 2000. Grew it out again. Cut it this time and I may grow it out, yet again. Some of the hair was breaking at the ponytail ring and getting too dried out. And sometimes it does help hair to just start over again. I like having long hair but I want it to look right.
