    For me....

    1.  Watch stupid reality TV shows while all three cats try to pile on your lap and love you
    2.  Do a project that needs to be done, but isn't a chore (ie., building an agility jump rather than doing the dishes)
    3.  Go for a walk with the camera and take cool pics of anything and everything
    4.  Get ColdStone cake batter ice cream in a waffle bowl with waffle piece mixed in
    5.  Read a book you've already read

Hello kindrid spirit! Though I like to get it in the waffle bowl with cookie dough mixed in. It's a uncooked baked good explosion!

You need to try a Cookie Dough Blast from Sonic...they probably don't have those there tho huh?
    • Gold Top Dog
I see commercials for Sonic but there are none around here that i know of.  Bummer...

almost 100 degrees outside (yeah i know, "whaah whaah cry baby" from people out west lol)

Nope you can have the box of tissues today.  It was actually drizzling when I got up (it NEVER rains in the summer here) and it's only supposed to be 80 something today...beautiful.  It's supposed to be 98 on Sunday, so I'll be whining again soon.

Not to put a downer on the subject, but I found a forum on the Johns Hopkins website for ovarian cancer a few months ago when I was fearing the worst.  I still check in there now and then and it always makes me extremely grateful for my health and totally amazed at the strength and courage of these women [:)]

Not a downer at all! It's good to read encouraging stories and "good things" when one's tetchy I've found.

Ben&Jerry's rum rasin (heavy on the rum)

    No, no Sonics here.
    • Gold Top Dog
I just checked, and the closest Sonics were somewhere in PA, kind of a haul to come from CT.

we have a sonics here. oh i do love that place! i'm a menu reader.. almost OCD about it.. i can eat at a place for months and still read the menu (i am really just that picky) but at Sonics and Steak and Shake.... there is usually something new and tasty to try, or try again [:D]

The Ihop's around here are always packed, usually lines out through the parking lot on weekend mornings.  You definitely will bust your diet in one of them.

Ooh! Gotta try THAT! Way more indulgent the the smoked salmon, red onions & cream cheese on a bagel I usually nosh on.

And - I'm with you guys on the cookie dough - but the BEST is when I make homemade cookie dough, scoop it out on the cookie sheet then FREEZE it! Mmmm... It's a genetic weakness shared by my brother, dad, twin sister & I. My husband is totally grossed out - that freak wants me to BAKE the cookie dough. Doesn't he know that RUINS it?!

The only thing that compares is Ghiradelli brownies made from scratch with real butter. Haven't been able to bring myself to make any since Blackhawk literally committed "Death By Chocolate" on them this spring.

My one other sure-fire blues chaser? Make something totally worthless yet pretty or silly. Usually I end up slapping together a quick card and sending it to someone for no apparent reason. Make me happy and cheers them up too! A co-worker adored the "Happy Drink Out of the Toilet Day" card I send her dogs last month.
