The Warm Fuzzy Game

    • Gold Top Dog
Big warm & fuzzies to the six members who welcomed me to the forum, in the Introductions section, back in 10/2006:

    cairnterriers
    Xerxes
    pofi_pasquale
    corvus
    gradyupmybutt (and fellow massage therapist!)
    whatsh0uldmyl0ginbe?

I greatly appreciated - then & now - the time each of you took to give me and my three lovelies a very warm welcome!

Glenda- Your passion for animals and for the well being of this board is always apparent.  I appreciate your willingness to help others and to also respond to pms even when they may not be the most pleasant to respond to.  Your family is most lucky to have you to be the "rock", caregiver and cheerleader.  You have a caring heart.

I can just imagine you making your jokes with a deadpan face).

I do, actually. It can be disconcerting to others.

To Calliecritturs, you've always a got fix-it for something. A life mechanic.

Dyan- you first off get major warm fuzzies from me for having what I consider to be one of the most beautiful dogs on the board. I am totally in love with Danes and they would be my dog of choice if it not for so many greys needing homes.   Bubblegum pics warm my heart and she seems so like such a special girl.   Your support in the nutrition threads when riding the dog food rollercoaster was most helpful.   I also really appreciated you helping me remain calm during my "raw bone eating trial".  The first one is ALWAYS the hardest and it was nice to talk with someone else going through it at the same time

To Shelly-  You are one of the most caring, beautiful, and loving persons I have ever met.  My life has been enriched because of you in ways that you'll never be able to imagine.  To say you have the spirit of an angel only skims the surface of the person you are.  You devote your life to helping others, you strive to protect those you love, and you offer the warm banner of welcome and friendship to everyone you encounter.  Somehow, no matter how bleak the outcome appears, you find that single speck of light and concentrate upon that-and you work hard to make others see that speck of hope.  You are an amazing and wonderful person and I am truly honored to know you.

WOW... to quote someone special that we both know... "you just said that to see if I really had a heart didn't you?" [;)]
I don't even know what to say and I can't really see the screen anyway through misty eyes to type out a response... so I will simply say "thank you".... you are a VERY dear friend Ed and the honor is, truly,  all mine.

To Ed, again. For sharing your song. I had some tones of "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd running through my brain listening to your song. And that is a compliment. That is, you incorporate lovely guitar work into the song, without taking away from the song. It all fits together.

Thank you very much Ron.  I'm a huge Floyd fan (much to the dismay of one of my friends in SoCal) and my style is David Gilmour meets Randy Rhoads.  Stay tuned to my YouTube channel, I'll be putting more songs on there shortly.

Jenhuedepohl-  You were incredibly supportive of me in the training section many months ago when I was getting frustrated with the learning in that section. Your support and rational state of mind was appreciated.

This warm fuzzy is for a couple people who are rarely on the forum anymore except to lurk, but who have made an impact in my life.

TWIN- Some of my favorite times on this forum have been with you on that long a$$ timberwolf organics thread.  I REALLY loved having someone going through all the problems with dog foods and trying timberwolf at the same time I was. I so enjoyed our daily "poop reports" on page after page of that thread.  I had such a blast every day with you.  What I miss most though is your presense on the forum and mostly I really miss cooking new recipes with you every week and comparing notes. I LOVED teaching you to cook and watching you grow and gain more confidence in your skills.  It all started off with that damn crockpot  I convinced you to get for max and grew from there.  Every time I pull out our "cookbooks" we both own, or I see the book fair going on outside my hospital window I think of these experiences with you.  I am happy for the most recent events in your life that have taken you away from idog.. but I sad to not have you around.  I wish you all the best in life and hope you will continue to check in with me once in awhile.

Kenny (Roxie865)- Gosh I miss you on idog and in my life in general Kenny.  I miss your laugh and your way that you are able to cheer me up.  I know events in our lives have taken us apart in the past few months and that has been most unfortunate.  You helped me in so many ways though and can't even begin to thank you.  I am a better person for the things we have shared together in the past 7 months and you will always be remembered even when we rarely correspond.  You are such a kind and caring individual and I appreciate so many things about you.  You and Ed have been some of the very best friends I have had in my entire life and you will never be forgotten. On the off chance you see this, hugs and kisses to both you and Roxie and always remember I love you "oodles and oodles" Magic![;)]

Chelsea- One of the biggest impressions you have made on me is your care for your cousins that you watch.  I was so impressed by your initiative to talk their mom into using appropriate child restraint systems. Maturity wise, you are often WAY ahead of others who are far older than you and should know better.  I also appreciate that you can be honest about yourself and your limitations in terms of working with people while trying to hunt for work. Both of these qualities speak highly to your character.

Leslie_chessies: Thank you for setting up the Triva Game. I try to play every day and it's a fun little thing to spend a few minutes (or seconds, lol) on! [sm=wink2.gif]
    • Gold Top Dog
Callie- thanks you for all your help and support during JJ's allergy problems last year.  I was so frustrated and at wits end and you helped me keep my wits![:)]  The time you took to talk to me on the phone was MOST appreciated and very helpful and calming to me.  Thank you for that.

Ditto to Leslie_chessies for the Trivia game although I feel quite stupid most of the time!

To Lisa Marie (pofi_pasquale) for always knowing just the right thing to say and the right time to say it.

Tina (sharismom) for the stories you shared of Shari, letting me know I wasn't alone.  And for adopting Bear, that  hunka hunka burnin' love [:)]

Maria (t_m) thanks for sharing Talus with all of us... I'm always anxious to see what he's been into and how he's posing for the camera!

And Thanks to idog for the Rainbow Bridge section... for many of us, that's the first place we go to for comfort and to give comfort.

Kelly (Personal Champ)- You have a tough job that I wouldn't want for love nor money and, imo, you handle it well and with an even hand. I also appreciate your lightheartedness and sense of humor on the board. I think you would be a fun person to hang with IRL.
