    I don’t believe......

That I have been having a good week, therefore I feel that I need to rant a little. Feel free to add to my list of things that you don#%92t believe.

    I don#%92t believe…….
*That anyone is better than me. You may believe that you are but you are delusional.
*That just because you request a personal favor, that you should expect to receive it.
*That you should expect people to worship the ground that you walk on & respect what you say, when you do not return that respect.
*That just because you are older, you know everything. Maybe just maybe, if you stopped being so judgmental, & listened, you might just learn something new.
*That there is only one method of training a dog.
*That carelessly giving potentially dangerous advice to another person, because your “idol” does it that way, is a good idea.
*That anyone should use an avatar of a breed that they do not actually own right now. If I think you own a Doberman, I will be disappointed to learn that you actually only own a small fuzzy dog, therefore your advice will be viewed as worthless to me.
*That if your post is worthless, then you should just recycle the post over & over throughout the thread. Nobody cares, & your opinion didn‘t help. Get off the computer & go train your dogs, don#%92t just keep re-posting it.
*That anyone needs to constantly make 6 paragraph responses. Nobody reads your posts because they are too long.
*That anyone should return/rehome a dog, because it interferes with your relationship with you other/favorite dog.
*That anyone should profess to really have a handle on nutrition. Nutritionists don#%92t even have a handle on nutrition, how do you expect for anyone to believe that you have all of the answers?
*That if you haven#%92t volunteered in a “kill” shelter, that you should speak horrible things of euthanasia. Until you have seen some of the dogs that have been euthanized, SHUT UP.
*That a “Christian” should use foul language. If you are a true Christian, then behave like one. I don#%92t care to hear that type of language coming from your mouth, or off of your keyboard.
*That porn, sex, alcohol, gay marriage, & homosexual adoptions are a bad thing.
*That anything is ever too big. Not bank accounts, vehicles, mouths, or siggy lines. I#%92m from Texas & everything is bigger in Texas.

These are just a handfull of things that I don't believe.

I don't believe...I have anything to add.  But I will ponder on it.

I don't believe that a dog that is only outside when he/she wants to and is allowed to come in at anytime through a door that is left open all summer long, needs a doghouse.  Especially one that would enable said dog to escape the yard by jumping off the top of said dog house over the fence.

I don't believe that people who leave their rottie and chi chained up outside all day in all kinds of weather should have the nerve to imply that you need a doghouse.[:@][:@]

Sorry, my personal rant for the day.

I don't believe I quit drinking 14 years ago and still have dreams about being drunk.

I don't believe that Billy didn't have anything to add just now.

Once in a great while, duty calls and I have to do some work.  Really chaps my butt too.  [:)]

Wow, that's a pretty comprehensive list!  Uh, if any of those are me, do let me know.

    Anyway, I would add...

    * I don't believe that just because you've been doing something a certain way for decades means it's the best/safest/healthiest way.
    * I don't believe that anyone who comes here for help ever intended to harm their dog (physically or emotionally) and sometimes people deserve a bit more slack, especially those that turn out to be kids.
    * I don't believe that because you've had many dogs of a certain breed for many years means you should automatically get to judge who else would be an appropriate owner of that breed or try to turn others away from that breed.
    * I don't believe it's fair to make assumptions about owners who are not feeding the absolute best food and accuse them of being ignorant and/or not caring without even asking for their reasoning.

I DO believe that so far everyone here has some really good tips and experiences to contribute and while I may not agree or chose to try all of them, this community as a whole has already provided more valuable information than all of my vets, breed mentors, and trainers combined!!  *group hugs*

    Not being one to disappoint....

I don't believe some of the crap that went on in this thread:

By someone who, on one hand, should know better, but on the other hand, probably doesn't think they did anything wrong.  The pressure must be intense when you're always right.

i wanted to say that.... [>:]

    * i dont believe there is a text book solution for every problem, because not every problem is a text book situation.
    * i dont believe you can accurately judge someone's tone or temper based on their text.. unless of course its all caps, or slanted, bold, or underlined.... but even that is no substitute for tone. if someone writes a short blunt answer it doesnt mean they are being rude or mean on purpose.
*i dont believe a crate is any better than a chain, kennel, or small room. if you want to lock your dog away all day and never interact with it then dont have a dog. but confinement is confinement, just ask the inmates in the local prison and jail or those on probation. and what ever method you choose could still frustrate your pet and lead to fear, aggression or excitability and they are just as much at risk being in a crate in the house as they would be outside on a chain or in a kennel. if your house catches fire when you arent home, your dog dies a horrible death.
*i dont believe there is such a thing as an unsolvable problem.
*i dont believe anything is "hopeless"
*i dont believe things are as bad as the media or people on the streets say they are.
*i dont believe its ok to be rude or mean to someone just because you had a bad day. - yeah thats my pet peeve today... rather... most days, but today in particular.
*i dont believe someone is always going to disagree with you just because you disagreed with them once.
*i also dont believe someone is going to be mad at you forever just because you dont agree with their opinion/advice/logic...

*I don't believe that people are really that clueless
*Nevermind I changed my mind I do believe it

    Hmm...;)

~I do believe that everyone here loves their dogs and dogs in general with all their heart and sincerely wants to help others who are seeking information on dogs or solutions to a problem. I do believe that sometimes our passion for a certain issue leads us to say things we know we should not, or present our argument in a manner which is not very nice.

^ I know I've been guilty of this.....

~I do believe that dogs are the best! [:D]

    I don't believe:

That pic in your avatar is you, DumDog.[:D]
I know everything, though maybe at times, others here might have thought that I think that. It's that fact that I don't know everything which makes me talk about what I do know or think.
I've called Glenda a doggy angel, lately. (I've been slacking, I think.)[;)]
We mean to argue as much as we do but we are passionate in our ideas, for sure.

very comprehensive lists... not much to add from me except one:

"i dont believe the arrogance of some people and their unwillingness to look at things from another perspective" IMO, these people lack empathy.

*I don't believe that I am lucky enough to have a doggy that loves me enough to cuddle up next to me wherever I am.
*I don't believe that I have any right to be harsh on others...I'd rather cut other people a break and be hard on myself...maybe others will return the favor to me.
*I don't believe I should allow my mother to spend her money irresponsibly.
*I don't belive I will ever stay at a Bed and Breakfast. [:)]

    * I don't believe I will ever do enough good in my dog's life to equal the good she's done in mine.
*I don't believe there isn't the right adopter to take Toby out of the shelter where he's been sitting for 4+ YEARs.
*I don't believe that animal abusers should go to heaven.
