I'm going to kill that monkey cat

Last night I put my glasses on my side table next to my bed. Of course Eli has a bad habit of getting on top of things and knocking stuff off. This morning I get up and use the bathroom when I came back I couldn't find my glasses on my table. Well when I got up this morning I stepped on a catolog which my glasses where hidden under there, no thanks to Eli.

So now my glasses are broken my mom took my glasses with her because she is going to the dentist today. So now I'm hoping she can get them fix at the other walmart so I can at least read again. If not I'm going to have to go without glasses until this Wednesday when I take Blue to the vet to go to right Walmart where I got the darn glasses.

Thankfully I just use them as reading glasses.  Darn that monkey cat!!

I've been there. Not fun at all, so I feel for ya.

I've been there too, except it was Max who ruined my glasses. I hope your mom can get them fixed for you today.

I've pretty well given up on my glasses.  Sheba ate the first pair, Sadie ate the second.  I have TRIfocals with a reading and short distance correction and nothing for far away.  Now I just buy the cheapies from the $ store so I can read.  Sigh....

I thought Kota had eaten my glasses once.  I found part of the glass case, like 2 small pieces and couldn't find the rest!  I was on the phone with the vet and they told me signs to watch for, etc.  He seemed fine and a few days later I found the rest of the case behind the couch!  lol.. silly animals!

Gah! Cats! Sometimes, I'm pretty sure Charlie does stuff on purpose. He'll walk on the cabinet, look at whatever's on there and just swat it off and keep walking.

A while back, DH fell asleep in his recliner, knocked his glasses off, and Biscotti destroyed the frame (brand new $300 glasses).  When he took them in to be fixed...I think it was Vision Savers...they replaced the frame at no cost.  I was shell shocked!  He is more careful about them now, but we don't have cats, either.

Well my glasses can not be fixed. I have to set an appointment up this week and get new glasses. It's going to have to be about a week until I get some unless I don't get my glasses tinted then I could get them the same day. So now I have to go without glasses and have headaches when ever I read for a while.

I rather have tinted I like it when they tint up when I go outside.

A lot of places, like Lenscrafters will have the lenses in stock.  If you have trouble reading without your glasses find out what the plus factor is in your new script and just pick up a cheapie pair of readers until the real ones are done.

I feel for ya too!  Hope you can get new glasses soon!
I, too, woke up one morning and my glasses weren't on the nightstand. I found them mangled and chewed under the bed.  It was the most sinking feeling!  Thankfully, when I took them in to be fixed, they did it at no charge!
Good thing I love those rotten dog-beasts!

I definitely feel for you!  Bandit nailed my Magic Clip sun shade part - he knocked them off the table and put some nice puppy teeth indentations on them!  After finding out it would be $85 to replace that part I counted it a blessing that it wasn't the prescription portion and have gotten used to not seeing the 'bubbles' when I use them.  I consider it his designer stamp mark!

That stinks. I had the transitions lenses before Max chewed them up. I needed new glasses right away, because I can't see more than about 12 inches away from my face without them, and I definitely couldn't drive like that. Not having them now really makes me realize how much I loved the transitions lenses, and I won't go without them again. I can't wait to get new glasses so I can have transitions again. I suppose I could go get new ones now since my insurance doesn't pay for them anyway, but also because the insurance won't pay for them. My parents will pay for them when I actually need new ones, but they won't if I don't really need it, and i've got other things I need to spend that money on before that.

I'm seeing fine just if letters are small I have to move them closer to my face, but with everything else I'm fine. So far I don't have a headache from not wearing them I still find myself looking for my glasses. My vision is ok I think I'm near sighted and if I could drive I can drive without them just give me a few more years and my vision in the right will be really crappy..The only headache I had so far is from Blue hitting me in the head with his boomarang a few hours ago to get me to wrestle with him for his toy while I sitting on the ground. I so need to get him a real dog to play with then making myself fill in for the other dog.

I love transitions lenses those glasses where my first pair like that and I love them. Don't have to worry about finding a pair of sunglasses.I'm little upset that I have to get glasses, but it's getting time for me to be getting a checkup it's just going to be a year early this time.

If I'm really in need of my glasses I could always use duct tape and tape the one side of glasses. Yet the feeling of being called a dork will keep me far away from any tape.[8|][8|]

I get my new glasses tomorrow morning before I go to work! I just can't wait! Now I'll have my transition lenses too so it will make those walks with Blue nicer without worring about the stinking sun in my eyes. Cost me a little over 300 bucks for the office visit, frames, lenses, and special touches to my lenses.
