Last I heard it was a medical term like vulva and scrotum...if thine scrotum offends thee...then cut it off!....lmao.

Is it derived from that lovely word, "smegma"?  Eww. [:'(]  Please don't ask me to define it.

I guess you got confused with directions. We are getting it today with good wind gusts and overflowing gutters. West, Gina, west  [:D]

Seriously, we could get a little bit more, we are already way below compared to last year which was below average too.

Well turns out the huge GLOB on the radar smacked Dallas proper and left Arlington mostly alone. YAY! I think they actually needed the rain there since N Dallas has been rationing water to the point that the snooty folks up that way were complaining a wholllle lot! Something like once a week ONLY for lawns/gardens etc. and some pretty heavy fines if you were caught "watering inappropriately".

I'll try to do better with the fan/engine promise lol!

[sm=no%20no%20smiley.gif] - I'm just a short way from Joyce and as she said, we're not in drought conditions, so I vote for you to send it on to the east.  When I was in Florida a few weeks ago I kept asking my friend why all the lawns looked dead and she kept reminding me how badly they need rain.

It's really odd..it has seemed in past that EVERYTHING that passes thru N Texas heads eastward over LA then onto Florida or the coast. I guess that's not been happening? I know nothing of jet streams etc so maybe it's normal this time of year...but with the fires in Fla. and all, I kind of thought it was a freak thing.

I got caught in the rain this morning.  I thought I had a good hour before the rain would get to me but I was wrong.   I have no problem walking Sam in the rain cuz he likes it....but not lightning.  We were in the middle of our wooded trails and had to start running home.  Almost made it!

ok, the crazy thing about this morning is how it is RIGHT NOW!  all nice and lovely like it never happened!

and my jeep has just a half top on it right now, and that half top collects rain... well, when i went to move it into the garage because i was literally afraid it might float away, all that water came pouring over the roll bar onto my HEAD.[:@]  that was just delightful.

is this level of rain NORMAL?  i certainly don't remember this last year...

Gina, I feel your pain!  I have had rain for the past 9 days & the weather report is calling for rain until Saturday.[:'(]  It has rained almost every morning, then clears off for a while, then begins to rain again in the evening.  I was rollerblading with the dogs this afternoon when the rain started.  We bladed the last mile & a half in the pouring rain to get back home![:@]

It rained a ton here over the past few days, which means in my neck to the swamp, snakes are popping out everywhere. And none of the dogs want to poop because the grass it wet. As soon as their feet hit the ground, they squat to pee and run back inside.

We don't even have greens anymore.....all is dead in the lots, the lawn outside of the kennels is yellow...........[8|]

Cathy's right.  I am SO ashamed.  We have no drought here and we don't need rain.  It did actually rain last month, but only on Picnic Day.  It always rains on Picnic Day. You'd think by they'd have the sense to move Picnic Day from April to the end of May or early June.

I was in Las Colinas yesterday, dodging lightning. I had landscape lights to install at a restaraunt. When the rain slowed down to only 1/4 per hour, I'd get back out there.
