Well this just ruined my morning...

Well this just ruined my morning...

It is semi-dog related because it talks about Daisy, but I think that other people might be bored if I put it in Anything and Everything.

Okay, here's the story. Warning- it's a bit of a "he said"/"she said" rant. So if you don't like those, I guess turn back now.

My room-mate's boyfriend and I just don't get along- period. We try to avoid eachother. I guess we have (according to my roomie, Beth) "conflicting personalities"
So Beth was using my computer this morning to do a project- and she had IM on and was talking to her boyfriend- Neil. The only pet he's ever had was a fish.

So beth gets done with her project and goes in to eat breakfast or something, and I get online to (of course!) check out i-dog! So then Neil's IM pops up saying
"My room-mate and I are having a lot of fun at Laura's expense."
so I pretend to be beth and say "why"
"Because, her dog is on a pedastal and she would go so far as to test her dog's pH in it's pee!"
so then that gets me mad and I tell him that it's me.  so he says
"I would've dropped a dog like that at the shelter a long time ago. She's worthless and her face stinks. At least Oscar is a love hound and will chase the squirrels away."
I told him I hoped he didn't have kids, and if his kid was sick would he abandon it at a hospital? He said I was being silly and a dog was different than a kid.
I agree about that, but still.

Maybe I'm too sensitive about things, but it makes me really mad. I really don't think Daisy would have a chance at the shelter- given her so many problems.
He stooped down to a whole new level. I thought I was done with all this high school junk!!

Argh- sorry about my rant. It just makes me feel really bad.

I'd have said to him that he should have been dumped at the shelter a long time ago!

Perhaps your roommate should get her own computer.

    I agree with Tina.

Maybe you could give her a log on seperate from yours?  Like a guest account or something?

    Laura,

That sucks, he's a jerk. People have different levels as to where they'll 'go' to keep a pet or do required medical things or behavioural things....it's sad when they can't just live and let live, but have to make "comments' about how thier way/philosophy is better, or belittle others who have a different set of "levels".

It's often the case tho that the occasional "hard-ass" will meet up with a pet that steals their heart, and requires a lot from them financially or emotionally...and then they will understand. Let's hope someday he encounters that sort of "enlightenment"...:)

Well he is obviously an ignorant person...I would say other things but I will keep it clean.  Hmmm, I guess he doesn't know what it means to care for an animal.  We who have pets LOVE them and some people just cannot understand that.  We always care for them the best that we can.

Oh, so it's OK to dump a family member just because s/he has a health issue? I DON'T THINK SO! This guy is a certified, gold-plated IDIOT. I love how he will dump his problems on someone else as soon as an issue pops up.

I truly hope your friend thinks long and hard before getting seriously involved with this moron. If she wants pets and kids, I would advise ther to take things very, very slowly.  He sounds like a "good times only" kind of guy who would bail or at least flake on her at the first bump in the road.[:@]

The guy is a loser, that doesn't even need to be said it's so obvious. But your roommate's not the sharpest tool in the shed either. She thinks a guy like this is worth her time? Sad. Hopefully some day the lightbulb will go on for her. Guess she also doesn't realize that you can view all her IM logs anytime you want. Maybe since you're nice enough to let her use your computer SHE could be nice enough to shut her bf up when he badmouths you. Sheesh! I just don't get people sometimes. No common sense.

He IS a jerk, big time.  Just be glad he isn't YOUR boyfriend.[:@]

I totally agree w/ fuzzy on this one, count your blessings you aren't in love w/ this guy and are in the process of finding out just how shallow and ignorant he really is.  No broken heart.  Everytime he opens his yap, just think how lucky you are to have avoided that disaster.    Jules

You tell him I don't think he's much of a man at all for picking on a small dog, figuratively, or picking on you for caring for your pet. You can quote me on that.

Maybe, he'll want me to say it to his face. I will. I live within driving distance. I like walking up to a bully and calling his bluff and watching him melt like an alka seltzer.

Well, that guy's a loser. Ignore that idiot (if you can. If not, plot revenge [sm=devil.gif] *bwahahahahahah*).

How do you feel about confronting my drunk, a-hole neighbor? [sm=biggrin.gif]

Same low price. No bully too big, no butt-whuppin too small.

No one's had the guts to take me on in so many years and I'm feeling like these punks need a lesson in manners.

Ron, could you please move in next door to me?[:)]

LOL Ron can be all of our body guards!  I agree Ron some idiots could really stand to be put in their place.

IMHO Dogs are NO different than kids, not in the least... but thats just me.  And your roomate has poor taste in men, hope he doesnt treat her that way at least, but Id be willing to be he either has or will.

I would blow it off and feel sorry for him that he is not more of an adult at his age... poor guy is so under-developed, maybe you should give him the names of some tutors or reading teachers since he acts like hes in 2nd grade.[;)]

I did have a job for a while as a security guard. I have bodyguarded the son of the Shah of Iran, Natalie Cole and others in that company had provided seucrity for "Matt Houston" and "Dukes of Hazzard." I also bounced clubs for a bit. I was in more altercations at the clubs. Recreational narcotics and alcohol make people think they are invincible.
