Do you have a guilty music secret?

Oh, I just thought of one!  I bought "Rock Swings" where Paul Anka re-does a bunch of contemporary rock songs to a swing/lounge beat. It is amazing. I know I know, Paul Anka. But it kicks butt. He does "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and now I prefer it this way.

Paula, if you like the Carmina Burana, I suggest getting a recording of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra performing it.  It is phenomenal!

I actually plan on naming my next Shepherd bitch Marcato's Carmina Burana :D

I've also played it in band ^_^ It's an awesome piece.

And for those of you that like classical music, I'm working on  putting together a compilation of classical piano songs on CD (me playing), and I'll be uploading some of it to my server ^_^

I'll look into that Trans-Siberian Orchestra. You and I both know that all Carmina Burana performances are not created equal.

    Cheers,
    Paula

    Paula,

Our tastes may vary in that regard, but I am a TSO FREAK, and I heard them perform in concert (Twice now, hoping to go again this year), and when they performed Carmina Burana, I got chills.

    OMG, SO COOL!

They also do two versions of Carol of the Bells.  One is called "Christmas In Sarajevo" that is kind of hard rockish, and another is more relaxed, and they use a harpsichord within it.  It's called "Wizards In Winter" and is also absolutely spectacular.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm definitely going to be looking into TSO. I was just sharing a wink and a nod with somone just as passionate about Carmina Burana.

I like the kid's show the wonderpets, and I like to listen to the songs from it. Wonderpets, wonderpets, we're on our way (hangs head in shame).

Count me in too! I love this piece. Didn't know what it was for years and had a hard time describing it to the guys at the music store. I think I finally found it on the soundtrack to the "Doors" movie.

I'll bet a lot of people instantly recognise it when they hear it, but also don't know what it's called. [;)]

I just remembered another of my guilty music secrets...Gregorian Chants.  I have 2 or 3 CDs of them.  I've no idea what the titles are, but they can get me into a very calm and relaxed state.

I have Sir Mix-A-Lot's Baby Got Back on my ipod.

I like big butts and I can not lie
    You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung, wanna pull out your tough
'Cause you notice that butt was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she's wearing
    I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh baby, I wanna get wit'cha
    And take your picture

Ok, that's enough, I will be humming that for the next 3 days.

Well, DH laughs and calls me a huge loser with a capital "L" if he catches me listening to Reo Speedwagon or Milli Vanilli or Poison!
