    Frustrated!!!

I just found out tonight that the sale of my house is going to be delayed by 2 to 3 weeks, I'll know more later this week.

The realtor decided to check with the buyers because she hadn't heard from them in a while. The close was set for next week on the 25th. Technically they have gone outside of the contract now and I really don't know why. It's not like there were inspections or repairs holding it up, they are going to bull doze the house as far as I've been told.

It screws me because now I have to rearrange my budget to come up with the mortgage payment due on the 30th that I wasn't expecting to pay and this time I owe more than usual to catch up on a missed payment before. I cannot be late or miss a payment and now I have to get $1100 to make this payment. Would have been nice to know there was a delay before this!!!!Angry I don't think if the agent wouldn't have contacted them they would have said anything.. just let it go by hoping no one would notice.

I also can't start looking for another house until after the close. I need to use the money they are paying me personally in addition to the mortgage to pay off my bills so I can qualify for a better loan. Dang it, I had just found a house I really went nuts over, but I guess if it's meant to be it will be there.. the market is real slow around here right now. If it's not, then it's not meant to be.

    Okay, now I've ranted..

I hear ya, I am thinking of selling my house, the payment is a little higher than yours so I can relate to the pressure to suddenly come up with over a thousand dollars without much notice.  Hang in there, hon, let's see where the chips fall.  :)    Jules

You think they are trying to get out of the deal?  How much good faith deposit did they give?  Your realtor would be holding it for now, but that money should be yours unless they have a really good reason for this, which may not even matter because they failed to tell you in a timely manner which would be required.  Sorry to hear that.

Did your realtor call their lender... maybe you could ask her/him to do that and make sure their loan is all ready to go...  if not you really have a problem.

Some people just have no common sense or any sense of courtesy.  My DS only found out that the owner of the house he was renting had sold it when he got a note in the mail from the county. How much trouble could it possibly be to pick up a phone and keep the people involved up to date on what's going on?
