A friend came by and Rodney said he had an outburst. Rodney said police officers then ticketed him for using profane language. "I got myself suspended in a way," he said.
"When I try and do the whole cross-dressing thing, everything just blows up in my face," he said Friday. "I can't be who I am. They basically stripped me of who I am."
If you are going against the norm, IMHO you have a responsibility to do so, well, responsibly. Be an ambassador. Swearing in the hallway and then getting upset when you get in trouble for it doesn't help further the cause of transsexual students.
I'm not against transsexuals in high school - we had several "butch" girls in my school who dressed like men, cut their hair short, didn't shave their legs, etc. But one has to choose one's battles and behave sensibly, no matter what kind of clothes you're wearing.
