My boss is so nice!

• My boss is so nice! g33 Posted : 4/25/2007 8:48:22 AM I came in to work today to find a huge pot of purple asters on my desk with a card!  It was a note from my boss that said "Thanks for all your support" and he also gave me a Starbucks gift card!  I was like, what's the occasion?  Apparently today is Administrative Professional's Day!  I had no idea.  I've never had a boss that really acknowledged it before!    Anyway I thought it was way nice.  And Happy Administrative Professional's Day to anyone else who shares this distinction! Before I worked at my current job, I worked for the Fire Department, where they always made sure to acknowledge Administrative Professionals Day. We would get flowers, candy, cards, you name it...   I came in today expecting at least a little something....Nothing!! I know I shouldn't expect anything (and it is, of course, a Hallmark "holiday"), but I will be honest in saying that it did kind of put me in a cruddy mood.   It's days like this that I miss my cushy city job!!
