The greatest day off!

Today was the most fun day I've had in a long time! Usually, I don't do much on my days off, but today, some friends and I went to the Reptile Expo. I was looking for a Kenyan Sand Boa and found one for $50. However, he had some pretty bad scars on him, some that weren't even healed yet. The price was about half of retail, but I can get one from a breeder in great shape for that price...a baby too. I would not have paid more than $30 for the snake. Then, we spend the day going to aquarium stores and one pet store. They had lots of fun stuff there and I got some new dog food and a Tug-a-Jug for the dogs. We then went to Hooters for dinner and told the waitress stories of how we feed frozen rats and mice to our snakes. She was talking to us about our day and then had TONS of questions aobut the snakes. I think she thought we were a bit crazy for having pet snakes, but oh well! It was a very fun day!

DH and I have been off since Wed and I can say we have had a lot of the greatest days off we have had in a LONG time. We normally do nothing on our days off but not this week. Everyday was jam packed.

Wed we went to lunch and shopping and he bought clothes and I got a bathing suit. Then later that night we shopped for a gazebo for our backyard.

Thurs we went to the Main Street Arts Festival and had really good food there and drank a few beers and walked up and down Main St admiring all the really cool art. Then we came home and put our gazeebo together that afternoon.

Fri we did yard work what seemed like all day but we both really enjoyed it. Then I took a dip in the pool, which was freezing!, but I got used to it after a few minutes. We spent time sitting under the gazeebo and watching the birds go to ur feeder. Then we went and had a great dinner at one of our favorite Mexican places called Rio Mambo.

Today has been pretty normal. DH played video games and I went shopping for more clothes for me (since I hadn't spent all of my clothes budget yet) then went to a baby shower.

Tomorrow morning we are having an original painting that we purchased delivered. We are SO excited about this! Then I think I will do chores and go to the store. Hopefully there will be time for us to take the dogs to the dog park. Tomorrow night we are going to my favorite Lebanese place called Hedary's for dinner for my brother's b-day with my brother and my parents.

What a wonderful (and expensive) vacation we have had together at home! Our goal was to get some things done with the house and I can say that we have exceeded our expectations and really had a great time doing it together!
