griffinej5 - I would highly recommend MD over PA, not as cold (at least on in my area), plus you are near the water.  Being from CA that is very important to me, can't be land locked!![;)]

I don't like the water, but other than that, Maryland seems like an OK place.

    AMEN! ~L~

Because people in NJ aren't intelligent enough to pump it themselves.

My wife's daughter, who had to be given up for adoption in 1973, grew up in Princeton, NJ. We went there last Sept. to see her get married. Now, she lives on the west  coast.

I forgot before I had already started that you are also from Jersey, so by the time I realized it, I really couldn't back out. If you noticed, Max is from Jersey, so that just goes to show that not everything from Jersey is bad. It depends on whether you're from the part of Jersey that speaks like they're from Philly, or the part of Jersey where they talk like New Yorkers. Max is from Trenton, so he's ok, and at least as far I know, neither you nor Annie are of those New Jerseyans (is that what you're called?) Even if you are, that's still not as bad as my sisters, who were both born and raised in the same place as me, yet both have a slight New York accent.

Grew up in Nebraska (miss the WIDE
open spaces)  First 13 years of married life on Long Island (miss the beach)  Been here in the up-state NY for 13 years.  I love it here.

Aa, but everyone forgets there is part of Jersey that is closer to the Poconos!   Mountains, some farms left. Heck, you can even find  rednecks around here.  LOL

I grew up in NYS, about an hour below Albany.  We moved to northwest NJ in 1982.  While our gas may be cheaper here  than most places, especialy on this side of the Garden State, property and school taxes are enough to send you running, thanks to all the developments that are going in.

Micksmom, I didn't know you're in Joisey!?  Very cool.

Please note that I'm not buying Jen's LAME backpedalling. ~LOL~  I'm sooooo kidding.

Ron, I was born in Princeton.  PLEASE don't hold that against me.

Oh yes.  My parents are trying to sell their house but the incredibly high taxes are holding off buyers.  Their taxes are like $9,000 and my bf's taxes here are like $1,000.

To give you an idea of how out of hand the taxes are- Since we've moved into this house in 1998, the woods that looped around our dead end road have been cut down, replaced with a development, and the end of our road opened.  The closest we've come to up grading/remodeling, etc is to replace a few electrical outlets.  Yet our taxes went up over $1,000  when we were re-assessed a couple of years ago.

I am a full fledged Vermonter, more specifically in Rut "Vegas".

Unfortunately, Rutland isn't the most dog oriented place in the world... No dog park... hell, no park unless you count the thing on Main St. which is little bigger than my back yard. Have to travel at least 20 minutes to go anywhere remotely fun [&:].
