Born in Los Angeles, CA. Moved to Texas in 1974, when I was 10 years old. I have lived here ever since then. I currently live in far north Texas, about 57 miles north of Dallas, two towns away from Oklahoma. If I cross the Red River, I would be in the Chickasaw Nation.

Sometime ago, my younger brother moved to New Hampshire and now he lives in Maine. He's got pomeranians, I've got Shadow. How's that for irony?

Another Marylander checking in! I am originally from Los Angeles but transplanted to the easto coast when I went to school.  I never went back (much to my parents chagrin!)  I do miss the weather but don't miss the crowds.  Maryland is a animal lover's paradise!! Have room for my horse, plenty of dog related actitives, I'm in heaven [:D] (Just need to find someplace to migrate to in the winter with the entire clan).  I would have loved to come see Jamie and Markie, unfortunatly I am swamped with school.  Hopefully I can catch them at their next MD show. [:)]

I came to MD for school too... and never left.  May I suggest Towson U.  I loved it.  U of MD is good too.

Dasher... it is a Sunday morning.  Surely you can come.  We are even going to do lunch.  And another board member who has not been on much lately, Cumasmommy, is coming too!  I am excited to meet Jaime and Markie and I think she said she may have some other doggies with her too!

Where is the show?  I am on the eastern shore of MD...this may be just what I need to take my mind off school [;)]...trying to finish one paper tonight, need to write another one for next week.  I may be up for it.

I went to Washington College for undergrad, currently I am a U of MD grad student (soon to be graduate!!)

griffinej5 - I would highly recommend MD over PA, not as cold (at least on in my area), plus you are near the water.  Being from CA that is very important to me, can't be land locked!![;)]

ron2- It sounds like you live very close to where I lived 12 years ago.  It was kind of in the middle of nowhere- it was the Farmersville/Caddo Mills/Floyd/Greenville TX area.  Are you near there?  When I was there is was very rural, but now I hear it is almost suburbia (Dallas keeps expanding).

I never knew NJ had such a bad wrap till I came to MD. That's when I heard all the armpit of America jokes and all the "what exit" comments, etc.  Personally, where I am from in NJ is very similar to where I live in MD, except in NJ gas is cheaper and they pump it for me!
