"The credit card account information was stolen from customers who visited restaurants in Manhattan's Chinatown and other parts of the New York metropolitan area, as well eateries in Florida, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Connecticut."

Awww - crap!  I already got hit by that TJX Corp thing.  Now this?!?!  You know, I'm going to over react, here, but for all those people who want to automate everything and minimize (or do away with) cash transactions, here's a good reason why not! UGH!

I really don't think credit card companies are doing enough themselves. I really wish they give out pin #'s like you use at ATM's. If I dropped my credit card, anyone can pick it up and use it at most stores to just swipe it through, no pin# needed.
I got a call a few weeks ago from my credit card company, someone got my # off the net and made a few charges. Luckily it was caught before too much was bought and the credit card company caught it in a day. I am not liable for the charges but I had to cancel the card and get issued another. So many scumbags out their ripping others off.
