    I admit I watched Sanjaya

last night...he sung in spanish...I thought he did a good job. Didn't watch the rest...Rangers were playing...and Deadliest Catch was on too.
Be interesting to see what happens...be a shame to send him home on a week he actually did well.

In spanish? no way, i want to see that [;)]
    • Gold Top Dog
From the blurbs espence he was the only contestant to do so. It was "Latin Week" apparently?
    • Gold Top Dog
It was "Latin Week" and their coach was J. Lo (wtf!?). All the songs were Latin-y but Sanjaya sung Besame Mucho which was the only one totally in Spanish.
    • Gold Top Dog
Simon's "compliment" to him was "it was not terrible."
    • Gold Top Dog
Hmmph...no one tried any Celia Cruz eh? Pansies...lmao...

I think the only song that has less words than that is "Happy Birthday" [;)]

Hey he tried....and IMO it's always a compliment and sign of respect for a culture, to even attempt to properly speak, let alone sing, in their language. [;)]

    Hey i found it [:D]

Actually he sang the "hard" part in English, the spanish part was good for not knowing the lenguage, kudos for him [;)]

He sang some of it in Spanish, but I was actually impressed. He was the only one to even attempt to sing in Spanish. Most of the others did Gloria Estefan. Chris Richardson sang Carlos Santana/Rob Thomas "Smooth" and Blake sang Marc Anthony's "I Need to Know". Melinda did a Dean Martin song (I think it's orginally done by Dean Martin) called "Sway".

I thought out of all of Sanjaya's performances this was the best one. And his hair wasn't all crazy! Thank God for that!

I loved what Simon said to Haley. [:D]

Some of the songs are not even Latin, some of them are performed by Latin singers but the song is not latin at all hehe, like in dancing with the starts when they dance cha cha with songs like the star wars theme hehe

"Smooth" is not a latin song, "I Need to Know" niether, cheaters [;)]

Thank you! That's what I said! I said to my friend that I was watching it with, "Umm . . . just because you have Carlos Santana playing guitar in the song does NOT make it a Latin song." Same thing with the Marc Anthony song. I agree - cheaters!

This is also how I felt about them having JLO on as there Latin person. Are you kidding me? I know she just came out with her first Spanish album and all, but come on!

Agree, Gloria Estefan would be better, JLO was born in NYC, she is latin descendent, Gloria Estefan was born in Cuba at least and with better knowledge of latin music

    Maybe Gloria said 'No'?
