• MOST annoying celeb, personality, and entertainment phenom? rwbeagles Posted : 4/9/2007 11:52:46 AM celeb=anyone in Tv, movies, music, entertainment   personality=anyone you have seen grabbing headlines, politician, heiress, business magnate, writer, sports figure, etc. there may be overlap in some cases.   entertainment phenom=Tv show, Movie, magazine, video game, "craze" people have bene flocking to to amuse or entertain themselves.   You can post only ONE for each so a total of three...and you must give a reason you think they should win. Think of it as trying to convince the world why your choice is THE winner! NO FLAMING...disagree if you want but DO NOT turn this thread ugly on pain of noodle flogging!   MINE... Celeb: Paris Hilton. Why? no talent aside from being born into money, trashy, and to top it off..an irresponsible pet owner.   Personality: Al Sharpton. Why? because the only person of color he really cares about...is himself. All about the press and media hype, not the "cause"   entertainment phenom: this was a hard one...but I will say "The Cell Phone". Why? It's alienated us more than brought us together, and encouraged rude, and dangerous behavior beginnning in youth right up to adulthood (ignoring people while you talk, driving while distracted etc). Really i think Simon is just like every other bemused brit. For some reason he is a new concept in America. Anyone who has a British guy for a friend will know exactly where Simon is coming from. I think he's just being himself and it works. he is actually looking at these contestants in a business like way, the other two, i dont know... seems that sometimes they just want to make people happy. then again i havent watched that show in about three years.. but i do agree.... i'm tired of American Idol too..
