What are you afraid of?

Bad men killing me, I think I watched too much america's most wanted as a child.

Ooooh... yeah.  I have this one too.  I will never be able to live in a house because of it (or lower floor apartment).  I need to be very high up off the street, with people on top of me, below me and on both sides!    I basically cannot sleep in a house because I'm convinced that I will be murdered.

I can't think of anything that I'm really fearful of. Spiders sometimes give me the heebie-jeebies - but just the hairly ones. I can still squish 'em myself though! I get nervous about public speaking situations and get embarrassed quite easily but none of those things really puts me into a panic.

Wait - thought of one. Backing up my husband's big extended cab 3/4 ton Silverado with a topper. You can't see a darn thing behind you in that beast. I'm fine in my own driveway, but anything that requires much maneuvering will freak me into making a 38-point-turn. I got cocky not long after we got it and tried backing it up to get firewood from the in-law's shed. None of us can figure out how I managed to damage underneath the back quarter and pull that post right out of the ground. Now, when I have to hitch up the camper by myself I back up an inch - get out and check. Back up another inch, get out and check. Takes me 20 minutes just to get lined up!

My biggest fear is something happening to my family or Ash. If my brother, mom and step-dad are all gone somewhere together, I always call and make sure they got home o.k. because I fear that they may have been in a car accident and the very thought of Ash getting out and me not knowing where she is terrifies me.

I'm also deeply afraid that I will not succeed at the things I want to do in my life.

Smaller fears include black widows, falling down the stairs leading up to my apartment (very high up, concrete steps that Ash can pull me down very easily if she saw a cat run by. It's almost happened one too many times),  and crunchy spiders (the ones that actually crunch when you step on them).

Spiders (especially big ones), in particular, bugs in general.  If I see a spider in the house, I make my wife kill it.

ditto. that movie arachnophobia really creeped me out.

snakes never bothered me. in fact, if i ever get a barn i think i would need at least a couple of black snakes to keep the rats at bay.

not really afraid of the dark either. i get a little spooked when camping with no moon though.

Fire...I am totally terrified by fire.

Parallel parking ranks a close second!

Spiders and most other bugs, but I'm much better than I used to be.

Most serious though is fear of heights and speed, and the 2 together are a panic attack in the making.  Oddly, I love rollercoasters, but driving the grapevine in Southern Calif can make me break out in a cold sweat.  It's a little better if I'm not driving, but only because I can try to close me eyes [:)]

    1. Something bad happening to my hubby, my daughter, my son, my three granddaughters or Molly.

    2. Getting into another car wreck. I hate driving now. I do it but I hate it.

    3. My yearly female exam. Really hate that one too.

    Other then those 3 I`m a rock.

Funnny, according to the polls the first thing people is afraid of is talking in front of a big crowd and second is death, i'm not afraid to any of those 2, i used to talk in front of big crowds A LOT (sometimes wearing a scuba diving outfit)

The thing i fear the most is darkness, i can stand it, my imagination is stronger that my "manliness" [:D]

I'm not afraid to be buried alive after watching "Kill Bill" hehe [;)] j/k

    1) falling from heights; ie ladder, cliff.  It's not the actual height, it's my instability around the height.
    2) still, deep water.  It terrifies me.

I'm very claustrophobic. Other than that, I'm not a fan of roaches, but they don't freak me out.

LOL.  Thank you, Ed.  Now, what was it I heard about you the other day?  [8|]

Not sure what you heard...But I totally understand why people are freaked out by spiders.  They don't move right.  They're actually other-worldly in how they move-rather than having muscles they use hydraulics to extend and retract their limbs.  Which is precisely why I am fascinated by them.[;)]

    I am terrified of
         Snakes
Being trampled (I have cattle & I am always worried that I'll come off the horse in the middle of the herd & be trampled)

On the other hand I have went diving with sharks before-it was great, & I love being the center of attention.

I'm terrified of hard shelled bugs especially June bugs and I freak out if they touch me I'm getting better around other bugs. Thanks to a stupid trip to WV where we ended up with stupid June bugs in my bed crawling on me all through the night.[&:]

I also am terrified falling from heights when ever their instability going up or down it terrifies me that I'm going to fall.
