• our society is going downhill jjsmom06 Posted : 3/5/2007 3:24:38 PM I was browsing the news just now and was totally disturbed to find that Britney Spears has her own "section"  on the homepage of the abc news website.  What does it say about our society when there are 8 different articles linked on this newspage BEFORE it even has links for current US and international news.   I am sorry but this is just another example of how our society is seriously going downhill.... I find the celebrity obsession that is rampant in our society to be quite disturbing........ I mean it's one thing to chuckle at the silly thing so-and-so did, or check out the dresses at the Oscars.
