Crap.  I guess that I made that one too easy for you!

I've been wielding puns and abusing the English language for decades. It's as easy as breathing.

Well, yesterday I cried Uncle and called the doc.  First they set me up for NEXT Tuesday for the aspiration.  Then I was out working and stopped to use the bathroom...yet again....and whoopie, looked like I passed nothing but blood.  So, back to the doc and yep, UTI, and the CT showed that this baby is NOW 8.3 centimeters. Of course I had to have another scan to see if that was ALL that's going on......  Now they are going to use the CT to locate the cyst, insert a needle into the cyst and pull out the fluid.  Not a big deal, right?  But they didn't want to do it sooner because I take a low dose asprin and they want me off those for a week.  Hello??  No blood involved here...the cyst still isnt' bleeding into itself.....

Today the pain was so bad that I stayed home from work.  Called the doc for something stronger for the pain and FINALLY the radiology nurse called me and I begged....boy did I EVER beg!  Think back labor with contractions that NEVER end......so tommorow at noon this little guy is gonna go BYE BYE!!  Yipppppeee!

Well Glenda, I'm going to believe that the pain is realllllyyyy bad for you to be excited about the procedure tomorrow.  I hope it all goes well and you're feeling better.

My friend's still waiting to hear about her ultrasound, but the technician said it looked like a simple cyst and nothing more serious.  I told my friend about your situation and asked if maybe the cyst was causing her recurring back pain, but she said the Dr. said no, that she also has some new bulging discs.  I'm wondering if it isn't a combo of both though.

Anyway - hope the procedure goes smoothly tomorrow [:)]

Good luck, Glenda!  We'll be praying for you...the end result HAS to be better than what you are going through now!

[:@] Oh yeah, it's BAD.  Holy spit, it is bad.

MY doc said a kidney cyst doesn't cause pain as well.  The radiologists seem to be the ones that know better.  Those and the really ancient ER docs like the one I got.

Oh hon!  I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.  I really wish that sometimes doctors & dentists would experience our pain.  they might be a little more empathetic towards us.

As a once proud owner of two cysts 9cm and a 7.5cm at the same time i feel your pain! My thoughts and prayers will be with you that everything goes well.

Glenda -- you get where you can read this --I'm sorry I've been so maxxed I didn't pay enough attention here.

D-Mannose -- the NOW brand is superb.  Health store item -- it's a nutraceutical (it's actually manganese in the form of a sugar).  it will augment the cranberry and it will also help rid you of the infection faster.

It bonds iwth infection cells and makes them so they can't stick in the urinary tract.  Solaray actually makes on that is Cranactin AND d-mannose, but frankly Billy doesn't get along well on it.

He takes a full teaspoon twice a day (and I just stir it in his food -- it tastes JUST like confectioners sugar).  You can get it in capsules.  But this stuff has been Billy's salvation.  One of the side effects of the cyclosporine is big time UTIs.

Will be keeping you in my thots and prayers. FOR SURE.

You can get it in capsules.

But just don't. Take the powder. It's not that bad, at all, and it works a WHOLE lot better than the capsules. Take this from someone who has popped open four capsules at a time, when the store was out of the powder. It's a pain, LOL. The stuff WORKS, but the capsules hinder it, somehow. Maybe it's just slower, but I'm impatient when I'm in pain.

You know that old 0-10 pain scale?  I've been at about a 12 since Sunday nite and that's WITH pain meds. [:o] Yeah, I probably shouldn't have moved the tables around...TWICE.....for kickball and then for Bingo, but dang it, those folks look FORWARD to our Sundays.......and I have a good time too.  I can't see that trotting around the room chasing down balls could do anything to make the pain worse, but maybe it did......or maybe the darned thing just took the exercise as a good reason to grow, who knows.

I DO know that the minute they spring me, I'm gonna head to the hospital cafeteria and eat whatever I want!  I haven't been able to do more than a few bites at a time for more than 2 weeks.  Anything more makes me even more uncomfortable so grazing all day and only when the stomach starts really SCREAMING to be fed.....then I would give it a few bites to shut it up, but not enough to make me bloat worse.  I almost think that not being able to eat has been as bad as the pain.  I ENJOY eating....and dang, last nites lasagna smelled sooooo good, but I just couldn't eat any. [:@]

So today I am hoping that I get to say goodbye to the pain and HELLO to food again!
