American Idol

I like Mandisa, Lisa, Chris and Taylor Hicks. I can't see Will or Kevin (chicken little) going much farther. Elliott reminds me of Mr. Tumnus in the Narnia movie! Paris is good but for some reason I don't think she'll win this competition. I don't like her as much as I did at the beginning. I also can't see Gedeon winning. Better go get ready for tonight's show! []

Well, I'm voting Kellie,,,I just love her. I think they said it right, she is not the best singer but the most interesting.. and she is cute, fun and can sing. Can't ask for more.
That being said, I thought without a doubt that Mandisa did the best job!
Third is a tie between Ayla and Lisa. I love them both but tonight I didn't like either of their songs.
My choice for going home after tonight is Kinnick Sky adn Melissa McPhee.

I don't dislike Kellie but I was shocked when Simon said he liked her better than last year's winner! They all really oohed and ahhed over her but she's not the best singer, I don't think. I have to admit to not seeing every show so far, so I don't know why America loves her or she's everybody's sweetheart (as they said last night). Something about Ayla bothers me. She doesn't seem to have a warm personality or something. I'm not sure what it is. I hate when people crouch down like a bear when they're singing (like she did last night). [sm=lol.gif] I thought Simon nailed it when he said Mandisa's performance was in a totally different league than the others. I found it by far the most enjoyable. She (and Lisa), unlike some of the others, make singing and performing look so easy and natural, don't they?

I can't wait to see the guys tonight. Taylor Hicks is hard to watch but I find myself anxious (yet apprehensive) to see what he's going to act like! He's very likable, I think. Very unique! A mixture of Joe Cocker and Ray Charles. [sm=happy.gif] I think it just may be the last time for Kevin. I guess it depends on how many people call in to vote for him. Sometimes contestants that aren't very good can go a LOOOOONG way (as we've seen in past seasons) by having a big support base voting for them.

My vote is definately Mandisa, she has been consistently good every time out.  I hope that  Kinnika and Ayla go home, it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all.  I can't wait for the guys tonight to see what they bring to the table.  Kelly is so cute and I think simon has the hots for her that is why he is always complimenting her, I have seen that in other idol years (I have watched them all from start to finish) I think he was crazy to say that she is better than last years winner.  Last years winner is up for 4 awards from country music, I can't see Kelly doing the same, although I've been known to be wrong.

You know, when it come to what Simon said about Kellie, he did make a statement that she wasn't the best singer, I think after he said "I like you Kellie!"  But he closed with that statement about how he thinks he likes her better than last years winner but because he had just said that she wasn't the best singer, I took him to mean he just likes her better, not likes her singing better.

I agree about Ayla looking kind of cold too. I really like her, think she has a great voice  and she is kind of interesting to me, but she is not that personable girl like Kellie, and Mandisa are, even Paris (who I have decided I don't like much)  I thought Katherine was very interesting last night, as she was trying to be a different person that she has been, as though someone told her she better get a personality to go with that good voice.  And she did!   That was the ONLY thing that I didn't like about Carrie last year, she just didn't show much personality up there while performing.  Can't wait for the guys tonight.  Like MiniMom says, Taylors hard to watch, but a good contestant!  

Remember the show where the judges did the final eliminations? Contestants had to go up in the elevator and then at the end they were separated into rooms that were told "you all go home" or "you all stay"? Remember how Taylor Hicks came up the elevator and walked the "long walk" across the room playing a harmonica? I felt so embarrassed...but then just in a recent show Randy made the comment that that "was the BOMB" when Taylor did that. Randy thought that was just awesome. I totally am surprised by their comments each night. Sometimes I think the person's singing sounded awful and they say it was great, and sometimes I really like it and they say just so-so or not good. I guess that's why I am not sitting at the judge's table! LOL [sm=lol.gif]

But also...does anyone else agree that Paula could just not be there at all? She gives such lame comments...always "you're just such a sweetheart" or "I just love you to death" but nothing very constructive. It's like she's there to always say something good no matter what. Her comments are like fluff.

Yeah, you know I didn't really like Taylor, but I thought it was sooo cool that he did that harmonica thing,  it was like,,,"okay, take me or leave me, this is what I am!"   I thought he was good but just couldn't watch him,,,,,
I agree about Paula, she is there to be the nice person...and thats okay I guess because sometime they need to have a nice person. But my biggest complaint is usually she says exactly what Randy says,,,except for the very few times she doesn't agree. 
Yeah, a lot of times I think someone is great and their knocking them. and the opposite way around.

Call me Crazy but I like Taylor Hicks more every time I see him! I have so much fun watching him. I voted for him! [sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]
I think we'll be saying goodbye to Will and Kevin tomorrow. 

Eliott  did HORRIBLE tonight. I dont know what in the world Randy and Paula were thinking, but to me, he did a really bad job.
I am starting to like Ace less and less. I am starting to like Chris instead.
I like Will, but I just can see him or Kevin being the next american idol.

WOW,,,,,,,,,so here is a difference in opinion!!!    I thought Elliot and Gedeon did the best performances tonight.  I didn't vote though, because I'm not voting against my favorite which is Chris,,but I couldn't honestly vote for him tonight because I didn't think he was his same awesome self tonight.      I am also beginning to loose it for Ace,,,I HATED his song tonight but I have to give him credit because I think he did an awesome job singing it.  I LOVE Bucky (even though I know he won't last long) I think he is just a sweet down to earth kind of guy and like his voice for the songs he sings..but I like country.   I honestly can't watch Taylor,,,he makes me a nervous wreck,,,I think he is going to explode up there or something.... I do agree though that after tonight I think Kevin and Will should be gone.

I am hoping that Will and Bucky will be gone tonight.  I like Ace and Chris, even though there songs weren't the best last night.  I also like Taylor Hicks, I think he is a class act, although like everyone has said, sometimes it's hard to watch him, but his actions are growing on me.  Maybe it will be his trademark!

I totally agree about Ace losing my vote. I'm now totally into Chris and watching Taylor last night was scary!! He looked like he was having a seizure, but he has a great voice. Bucky is to much of a bumpkin for me. I think the elimination for the boys will be Will and Kevin and the girls will be Kinnik and I can't remember.

For me, the results of tonight have really made me mad.  Gedeon over Kevin is a joke.  Ayla should not have been a consideration of going out now either, although neither were going to win in my book.
Voteforthe worst.com is telling everyone to vote for Kevin,,,,which is so unfair to throw someone off with much more talent.

I agree.  I would've liked to see Kevin go over Gedeon.

I was pretty appalled last night. I couldn't BELIEVE they kept that Kevin guy and booted Gedeon. Granted I don't care for Gedeon, but still... And I actually like Ayla. I don't think she has what it takes to win the thing, but still I like her.

That being said, Chris Daughtry works right up the street from my Husband, so we are totally pulling for him. Not to mention I'm all about sexy bald-headed guys.
