New Cages on the Way! (Pics Added)

I just ordered two new cages for my sugar gliders.  Reptarium, they are a PVC frame with a mesh screen taht can be put in the washer for cleaning.  So much easier than taking the cage apart and soaking it in the tub!  I was going to get the 30"x30"x71" size, but I was afraid two little running dogs might knock that size over.  My friend had one and it was not the most stable thing.  So, I got the 30"x30"x48" size.  Still plenty of room for just two little gliders in each!  Right now, theyre cages are too small, but it was an upgrade from the horrible conditions they were being kept in.  The cages are about 18"x18"x30".  I'm sure they will be very happy with the new space!  I can't wait until they get here!

Here is a picture of my first female with her baby.  The female was a rescue from a girl who was feeding them ONLY sunflower seeds and had not cleaned their cage in months.  When I got the cage, I thought the perches were dark brown.  As soon as I put it in the tub to wash it, I realized they were really light brown.  I took her, her mate, and two joeys.  I sold the joeys to good friends of mine and put that money towards the supplies that I needed for them.  I know have another pair.  A female that I got from a different friend who lost one of his.  He wanted her to be with other gliders so I gave him $50 for her.  I then kept a male, who is the brother of the joey pictured, for her mate.  He was just too sweet to give up!  Plus, he is a black beauty(very dark black coloration).  I later found out that my original pair is a cinnamon pair.  You can compare the colors of the two.  Mom is cinnamon, baby is black beauty.  The single picture is the baby again.  I was never planning on getting gliders, but I am so glad I did!

Oh, don't worry!  They don't stay in that little clear box.  That was just to take pictures!  They don't hold still too well!
