We have shandies here, too, although no self-respecting Australian would be caught drinking one. It's considered a girly drink, but I know plenty of girls who wouldn't be caught dead ordering one.
Fries on bread are called chip butties. [

Vinia, they don't have Milo in the States. Poor souls. I like Milo and sugar on pancakes. My aunt used to make a secret pancake spread with milo, butter and castor sugar. It was pretty deadly. My sister pours milo on her Weet-Bix, saturates it in milk, heats it up, and mixes it into slurry every morning for breakfast.
We're also big on weird pizza toppings over here. One of my favourites is double bacon cheeseburger, which has mayo instead of tomato paste. I loved the wedges one that had potato wedges on it, and the nachos one with corn chips on it was excellent. I draw the line at dessert pizzas, though.
One of the national specialties is the Tim Tam Bomb. Tim Tams are a delicious chocolate biscuit, with chocolate cream in the middle and coated in milk chocolate. The Tim Tam Bomb is when you bite off both ends, dip one in your cup of coffee, suck the coffee up into the biscuit, then cram it in your mouth before it dissolves in your hand.
And of course, there's Vegemite. Perhaps you'd have to be mad to like it in the first place, but I love a cheese and Vegemite sandwich.
I also like carrot sticks dipped in pineapple juice. And 5 cup salad, which consists of a cup of marshmellows, a cup of shredded coconut, a cup of sour cream, a cup of pineapple pieces, and a cup of canned mandarine pieces.
