Weird food combos

I'm not sure that I eat anything that weird, but...

I have to eat piping hot vegetable soup with a TON of pepper in it when I am hungover.

I like peanut butter on everything.  Carrots, apples and celery especially.

My favourite "quick" salad dressing is olive oil, lemon juice and steak seasoning.

Even the idea of mayonnaise makes my flesh crawl, so I make tuna salad with sour cream instead.

I love gravy on my french fries.

I put grated cheese on any kind of soup except the veggie soup I eat when I am hungover.

I'm not the world's biggest ketchup fan, but soy sauce goes with everything.

I'll be back to add more later....now I'm hungry!

Wow, you guys really do eat weird stuff! Some of those were pretty gross. lol

These are the weirdest things I can think of that I've eaten (it's been a long time since I've eaten any of these):

Semi sweet chocolate chips in a spoonful of peanut butter (basically like a Reese's cup)
Worcestershire sauce on mac n cheese
    Cheese on corn
    Dipping pizza in ranch

    That's it...

    "Hamburger with guacamole "

MMmmmm, now that is one of my favorites!  I also like avacado on my sandwiches and in my salads or on my bean soup or on pretty much anything.
I like powdered sugar on pancakes and french toast.  I use it in place of anything that might call for syrup since syrup makes me sick.

I love to dip my pizza, wings and my sandwiches in creamy italian dressing.  I will eat straight vinegar on top of a salad.

I love to mix vodka and champagne and a berry type juice, most likely cranberry, to make a really good martini.

All of those sound really good! We must have similar taste.

We have shandies here, too, although no self-respecting Australian would be caught drinking one. It's considered a girly drink, but I know plenty of girls who wouldn't be caught dead ordering one.

Fries on bread are called chip butties. [:)]

Vinia, they don't have Milo in the States. Poor souls. I like Milo and sugar on pancakes. My aunt used to make a secret pancake spread with milo, butter and castor sugar. It was pretty deadly. My sister pours milo on her Weet-Bix, saturates it in milk, heats it up, and mixes it into slurry every morning for breakfast.

We're also big on weird pizza toppings over here. One of my favourites is double bacon cheeseburger, which has mayo instead of tomato paste. I loved the wedges one that had potato wedges on it, and the nachos one with corn chips on it was excellent. I draw the line at dessert pizzas, though.

One of the national specialties is the Tim Tam Bomb. Tim Tams are a delicious chocolate biscuit, with chocolate cream in the middle and coated in milk chocolate. The Tim Tam Bomb is when you bite off both ends, dip one in your cup of coffee, suck the coffee up into the biscuit, then cram it in your mouth before it dissolves in your hand.

And of course, there's Vegemite. Perhaps you'd have to be mad to like it in the first place, but I love a cheese and Vegemite sandwich.

I also like carrot sticks dipped in pineapple juice. And 5 cup salad, which consists of a cup of marshmellows, a cup of shredded coconut, a cup of sour cream, a cup of pineapple pieces, and a cup of canned mandarine pieces.

I LOVE potato chips on hot dogs!

A weird drink that is actually delicious is strawberry dacquiris made with Baileys (irish cream liquer) - yes seriously! Try it!

I can't really relate to the chocolate chips & popcorn.... sounds nasty but hey you never know.

My BF's dad likes ketchup on everything..... pizza, sandwiches, etc. Bleh!

Wow, we've got some sick puppies on this thread!!!  ;)

I must have vinegar on my chips
Fresh squeezed lemon in my chicken soup
Sliced tomato and cream cheese on my bagel
and cider in my lager (snakebite)!

Gina, you have to come to Pittsburgh! We have a restaurant here (with several locations!) called Primanti Bros. where whatever sandwhich you order comes with the french fries and the cole slaw IN the sandwhich! Pittsburghers are actually fairly notorious for putting french fries in and on pretty much anything. You haven't lived until you've had a french fry salad.

    My weird food combo thing?

Potato chips or Doritos and milk. And yes, I dunk. Extra points for salt and vinegar potato chips and milk. My husband thought I was the sickest puppy on the planet when I told him that but then I made him try it and now we both do it. Three cheers for luring someone to the Dark Side!

Christine, I can't believe you know what Snakebite is over there?  If you order it in a normal bar will they understand you, or is it just if you're in an English pub type place?

And can you get Snakebite & Black?

I've heard of a snakebite and I don't even really go to bars or drink that much, so it's common enough that a total L7 like me knows what it is.

And here's me thinking it was just a British thing...thanks for setting me straight lol.

Only in a pub Kate.  They would have no idea what it was in a proper lounge or restaurant.  I'm also fond of a nice Black & Tan and maybe a Shandy in the Summer, but my favorite drink is just a pint of Guinness.   mmmm.. I could murder one right now!  (guess what I'm doing tonight? :))

I used to like eating potato chips with a chocolate shake (alternating, not mixed).

I love malt vinegar on fries if I must eat them (my mom was from Canada, but I don't really like French fries)

I used to love ketchup on mac and cheese (only the boxed kind).  My foster family thought I was nuts until they tried it - then all of them ate it that way.  I haven't eaten it that way since I was pregnant - it nearly gagged me.

My school used to give us peanut butter with celery and carrot sticks for snacks.   Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are great!  I've heard of people eating peanut butter w/mayonnaise or p.b. w/ alfalfa sprouts.

I've also heard of using ranch dressing in place of tomato sauce on pizza.  Does anybody like pineapple on their pizza?  I do.

I like cream cheese on celery sticks.  Also, cream cheese and liverwurst together makes an awesome sandwich!

OMG malt vinegar on fries!!! Yes! Must have it! I can handle like really super-processed fast food fries with just ketchup, but it isn't acceptable to me to have fresh-cut fries without malt vinegar.

I was born in Canada and my dad's Canadian.

Peanut Butter, lettuce and Miracle Whip sandwich! Yummy! You have to have the lettuce though??? Not too weird, but I also love fresh sliced apples spread with peanut butter.
