The goober...

    The goober...

He is now Goober. The name was given by Kelly, my 3 yr old.

He's 3 weeks old today and has been an awesome little baby. I get plenty of sleep, and he only cries if his tummy hurts. Hopefully he stays this way! Kelly on the other hand was a loud baby. Always upset, cried about everything.

I have only one concern, and I'm not sure what to do... He was circumcized last tuesday, and it just doesn't look right. I'm sure when I take him to the doctors they'll say it's just healing, but I looked online and got opinions from some people, and it looks like the doctor screwed up. It looks nothing like a normal little boy pee pee should right after circumcision. Nothing.

I believe he was two weeks old in these pictures.

What a delicate concern, lol. I have to say you should ask your pediatrician. If you want a second opinion after that I am sure they'd recommend someone for you. He's probably going to the docs pretty regularly right now anyhow.

That's interesting that they did it so late after birth. Our boy was done in the hospital before we left! Maybe there was some other stuff going on tho?...I missed the birth story.

He is a doll...thanks for sharing the pics!

I have no clue why they waited so long to have his done. I thought there was an age limit...

As for his privates... I hope I'm just worrying too much. I would be crushed if his manhood was deformed!

My son was done, too, before we left the hospital.  In fact, we had to wait until he peed so we could leave!

Age limit, umm...I don't know for sure, but don't Jewish boys not have it done until like age 12?  Maybe that's old-school...

He's absolutely precious! Thanks for sharing the pics.

I don't have any advice to give, but I hope everything goes well with his little privates! Poor guy! [:o]

He is adorable! And so is big sister!

I don't think there is an age limit because I have heard of adults having it done for medical reasons or just by choice.  I can't imagine a doctor making a mistake though...it's pretty simple and so common.

For the record, jewish boys have it done on the 8th day, not at 12 years old. I've had to witness many of them.

That's right - day 8. If I remember right,  someone told me that vitamin K levels were highest on the 8th. day after birth. I don't think there's an age limit though.  I can be done at any age, but I'm sure having it done as an older kid or an adult could  be pretty uncomfortable. He's gorgeous, Shannon.  Congratuations to all of you. [:)]

That's got to be one of the cutest goobers I've ever seen. [:D]

    He's a cutie - congrats!

OH he's a thumb sucker... cute.  Congratulations!

Kale was Circ'd a couple of weeks after he was born.  So glad I had a girl this time and didn't have to listen to that, even from the next room.  do you have a health unit or something nearby where you could get some reassurance?

My sister was a nanny for a kid with a botched circumcision. So obviously it CAN and does happen. Needless to say, her 18 month old son is NOT circumcised. [:D]

He's beautiful, btw. I'm hoping his name isn't actually Goober. [8D]

    Goober Alan Denser... [;)]

Just kidding. His first name is Kenneth.

As for his wee wee, I'm bringing him into the doctors tomorrow morning. Need the doctor to tell me it's fine.
