Opinions on wedding invites? - PICS

Personal opinions wanted - what do you think of these two invitations I designed? Do you like one better or neither very much? They're going to be printed on sky blue paper with a clover green envelope. I know they're very similar but I welcome any feedback about them....

I prefer the second one.  [:)]  ;Picking invites can be a tricky business, can't it?

I like the flowers on the second one better.  I also prefer the font of the names on the second one.  Will you match to font of the rest of the wording or do you mean to use a plain font to make the names stand out?  Personally I would bold the names rather than use a different font style.  JMHO

Well, I like the first one but with the picture on the second one.  Is the picture on the first one supposed to be a lotus flower?  It reminds me of an artichoke...or, maybe I'm just hungry [:D].

I agree with Cathy.  If you can't have it that way, pick the second one.  The flower on the first looks like a man eating flower [:D]

I wholeheartedly agree with the second choice as well!

To me: the first one looks more playful and the second looks more formal.  I like them both.

Thanks for the feedback... I can do whatever with the fonts, I am making these on Photoshop! I agree with the characterizations of "playful" and "formal." That's probably why I'm torn... I feel "playful" fits us better but visually I'm fonder of the apple blossoms.

And yes the first one is a lotus/water lily, I'm sure the green is not helping the artichoke association! [sm=lol.gif]

If you can't do font from 1st one on the 2nd invitation, then I would say definately the 2nd one.

Hmm that flower in the first one does look like an artichoke.

I like the second one, the font and the picture.  Can you make the text all closer together in that one?  Meaning the marrige and 3 oclock, just looks kinda far apart to me... but, I see that the flower is sort of in the way.

A vote for #2 from me.  Love the flowers.

Maybe keep the apple blossoms and play with the font some more.  I think the soft green color you've chosen is bit on the playful side.  Looks like they're both a fit, just need to tweek them a little bit to see which one really stands out to you. [:)]

I changed my mind.  If you're going for playful, sweet - go with the first one but choose a different image than the waterlilly/artichoke/man eater.  Takes you a second to figure out what it is - and you certainly don't need your first impression to be a look of puzzlement.

I like the font of the first one, but the picture of the second one.

I agree with what everyone else said...I like the font on the first one and the picture on the second one.
