I hope no kids are/were allowed at these receptions where some of these songs are played.

    "The Thrill is Gone"
"Let's Call the Whole Thing Off"

Kate, the song you chose is beautiful!

Our song was "I Saw Her Standing There" since I WAS 17 when we first met!.  However, we had a single song that DH chose at our wedding.  Some friends played and sang "The Bramble and the Rose".

Heard part of it last night and immediately thought of this thread!

I just thought of another one.....Fishing in the Dark by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band  [:D]

Remembering back to high school, we used to dance to this song & replace fishing with the "F" word.  [sm=proud.gif]

I can't believe nobody suggested Rick James' Superfreak, or MC Hammer's Can't Touch This xD

Just heard this one on the radio - was trying to remember the title before.  Maybe another honeymoon send-off song:

Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin (geez, did I spell that right?)

OK, I'm very late getting to this thread, and I've tried to quickly read all the songs already suggested.  I told my husband to give me ideas, as he has a memory for song titles, and suggested more than once "Highway to Hell" to various couples we've known when they planned their song list!

Nearly all the ones he thought of have already been posted.  Don't think anyone mentioned these:
    Miss Misery - Nazareth
You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling - Righteous Bros.
    Stranglehold - Ted Nugent
    I Ain't the One - Lynyrd Skynyrd

I'm sure he'll think of more as he's trying to fall asleep tonight!
