• boneyjean Posted : 1/17/2007 12:41:44 PM We have gotten slammed this year.  This is the 2nd time this week I have worked from home and the 4th time this winter.  I can't imagine what the rest of winter will hold for us.  We got ice Monday and snow today and the snow today was totally unexpected.  It was forecasted to stay south and west of us I think.  Anyway, I have decided I work much more efficiently at home with the dogs curled up next to me and helping my type emails from time to time!  EDA: Those are great pics of the kids!  They look like they are having a ball! 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • rwbeagles Posted : 1/17/2007 1:19:18 PM People say it's a hard year...I don't think so. I came to Texas in 1998 and about every winter since we've had 1-2 days of snow...and 2-3 days of ice....people here act like it's the end of the world when it happens....it's quite funny. I mean I'm from CALIFORNIA and I don't freak out as much as they do here. I recall walking to work back in late 2000/ early 2001 pregnant as can be with Lily...over ice...I didn't fall, it wasn't that bad...lol!   They closed the schools today when Lily and I could've quite easily gotten there....snow is actually easier to drive/walk in than ice my DH tells me (after many snowy drives in college from Waco to OK)   So I don't think it's unsual...maybe EARLY...but then I recall one NYE wearing a dress and heels walking in Downtown Fort Worth, thru some small piles of snow lol!
