Of the original band members, one has died, one went on to be come a teacher, and Colin Hayes, the singer, went on to be a record producer.   I met a strange lady, she made me nervous She took me in and gave me breakfast And she said, "Do you come from a land down under? Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? • ron2 Posted : 12/28/2006 8:16:37 PM Thanks, Amy. I still haven't landed a job, yet, though I've had one interview with a city to be an inspector. I have other apps out. The problem is most private companies aren't looking for a master, just apprentices and journeymen. The only advantage of working cheap for this last company is that I'm not asking for more than what I was making, which is top journeyman pay.   I also gathered information today that my former employer is about to make a mistake that could get his company shut down. Mistakes that I was trying to discuss with him and he decided he didn't need me any more. So be it. • ron2 Posted : 12/29/2006 10:02:48 AM it's too bad he doesn't have more of a solo career now   Well, these days, he's primarily a record producer. And yes, I do wish he would put out a new album of his own. I loved the tone of guitar that they would use. It was mainly a combination of chorus and reverb and delay in a special effects rack but it had a way of musically describing the expansiveness of Australia.
