So what was your favorite gift?

Angels, Angels and more Angels.
My kids started giving them to me a few years back and now everyone gives them to me.

Yes, actually! I was in the living room, my SO (of 9 years) went in the bedroom and Rupert followed. He gave Rupert the box and said, "Go get mama!!" Rupert came running in the room with the box in his mouth, all wagging and wiggly. [sm=proud.gif]

OK well my favorite gift was a big tank for my tortoises, russian tortoises. I set it up with  me dad because it made of plexiglass and slides in to place, and they  love it. And the cage allowed me to upgrade the rest of my turtles.

my mom made us all fleece blanket's with dogs on them, they are all different , except mae j. and berserker have the same pattern, my mom thinks my dog is gay, his blankie is pink [sm=biggrin.gif]

I have too many. I am spoiled beyond belief at Xmas. I think my fav was this photo album with pictures of Ash and Angel. My mom got the best picture of Ash! It's so cute! I also got a cookie jar of a Blue Heeler so I loved that!

I have to say though that my new ipod Nano has not left my side since I opened it. [] I love this thing! How did I ever live without it?

I also got a ton of books, some of which included "The Culture Clash" and "The Other End of the Leash".

OMG!  How CUTE!!!!!!!

This was a lean year at this house but we are so blessed. Last Christmas, we didn't know where the Air Force was sending us, we lived in an upstairs 3 bedroom apartment, and we only had Hayley and Shannara. This year, we were in our own  4 bedroom house with a yard, in a new town that we love, and had added Trinity, Bubbles, Static and Amber.

My son did give us a wonderful gift. He gave Jason and I a thank you note that thanked us for a wonderful Christmas and for taking him and his brothers to the chinese buffet for "linner." I put that note in a very special place.  Our new safe.

Aww, what a sweet way to offer an engagement!  SUPER CONGRATULATIONS to you, and Jean's son and whomever the 3rd engagement is, as well Auburn for her new great grandson and Glenda's mother recovering and all this good news, etc!
 
Makes the sweet fleece vest w/Doberman logo and bone-shaped zipper pull seem like a lame "favorite gift".  []  But, it is my fav gift considering my other gift was a 20yr old umbrella from my grandmother...

I got 4 really good gifts.  The first was a little cheesy but I expect nothing less from my BF.  I got a video ipod, which was good enough, but he loaded some cheesy love songs on it, that he said made him think of me.  Gifts 2 & 3 are all together, my nieces will be coming to live with us full time.  I can't be any happier, as their dad (my brother) is in Iraq & their stepmother is a royal pain in the @ss, and completely incompetent. 
Gift 4 was that all of my family were with me through the holiday.  We as a whole have had a terrible year.  My grandmother has had a brain aneurysm. I had a car accident that left me in a coma for 11 days. Then I ruptured an Achilles tendon, that was surgically repaired. Then I had my MCL repaired.  We had 2 of my uncles die, a cousin diagnosed with breast cancer, my best friend had a car accident that almost killed her, and my dad had a mini stroke last week.  I was just so thankful that my family was still able to get together after the year we have had.

I've always been one who loves to buy gifts for others, and I put alot of thought into in. I don't really like getting gifts because there really is not anything I want.
 
This year even with all of the things we are dealing with was our most beautiful Christmas ever. My family being here and the way they all worked so hard to keep my spirits up was just the most beautiful feeling, I really can't explain it. I love to decorate for Christmas. Every single room, well this year my things are in storage, so everyone pitched in and set up a room with a tree and new decorations just for me. So that was really sweet. All of my gifts this year from parents grandparents and aunts were all things for my new home. So when we do find  a home I will be able to furnish it with new things. So this Christmas was very special.
 
Oh, sorry this is long, but I wanted to add. My parents got to see the kids on Christmas morning open gifts from Santa and experience that, which I saw the glow in their eyes. I think next year theyt will sleep at our house so they can see it again.

My BF was on the road for FIVE STRAIGHT WEEKS for job training and coming home for Christmas was looking real iffy... so my best gifts were that he was home for Christmas and he immediately got a local route, so no more long distance lovah for me! []

I guess mine is the Tiffany Style lamp with Golden Retirver scenes on all 4 sides.  Is from Danbury Mint so if any of you get catalogs you may have seen it.  Also got a wonderful golden throw, a great tree ornament, a tee shirt made with pictures of all my golden's on it...I had a golden Christmas.  But i got lots of other stuff as well including a great set of solid one piece stainless steel knives.
