Reputable place to buy a visa/mastercard/amex gift card online?

My christmas gift to my parents was supposed to be a gift card to DELL so they could buy themselves a new computer.... but they don't sell giftcards!  Can you believe it!?!?

So, now Im on the hunt for a gift card with a credit card logo, so they can use it at dell... (I don't want say, circuit city or best buy, because I want them to be able to customize their computer).

Any recommendations?  Good websites?  Is one credit card logo better than the other in terms of gift cards?

I would say the best way to go on this is with the financial institution you have a relationship with - checking, savings or credit card.  Check their website to see about prepaid Visa gift cards.

Looking at the website of the company I work for and bank with, the service is aimed at their existing client base rather than a new customer (after all, they will know the funds are secure because they know your bank balances).  But if I wanted to do it, it would be pretty easy and I'm now kicking myself because we just got back from purchasing cards at an electronics store for my nieces and nephews!!

i would buy an amex one directly through amex. check their site. i think they are charging $3.95 + shipping for their cards.

visa.com has a list of sites that sell visa gift cards. i would check those and see who offers the best rate. or i would check with your bank and see if you can buy a visa or mastercard directly through them.

there are a few cards that you can buy through mastercard.com. but i didnt see any of their rates. i did click on the washington mutual one that they offer and there were some holiday designs you could choose.

    good luck.

Most likely you can go directly to your bank and purchase it through them.  When I used to work at a bank, and a small one at that, we sold them.  That would probably be the safest way to buy one.  Good luck!

I just bought two visa and one amex gift card from the local A&;P Supermarket.  It cost the value of the card plus 3.95.

If you go to usa.visa.com you will be able to find out where you can go locally to get a visa gift card.

They actually sell all of those kinda of gift cards at supermarkets and chain pharmacies now like CVS and the like. I don't know about getting it online. If you do decide to go that route, I would check the better business bureau website to make sure that it is isn't shady.
