Wet sneakers?

    Wet sneakers?

Any ideas on how to dry out wet running sneakers? I was wearing mine at work, and we had to take the trash out in the rain (being the new kid stinks!) and now they are all wet. I have to be there by 6:45am for my shift tomorrow. Any ideas on how to dry them out in 8 hours?

Our dryer has a removeable rack that you can use to dry sneakers on. In absence of that, you might try setting them on a heating vent, although being in FL you may not have any heat on! I suppose you could put them in a very low temp oven, but that's the kind of thing that, if I did it, I know I'd burn the house down.

this is how i dry out my cycling shoes after riding in the rain....

stuff them with newspaper. dont sit them near a heat source (like a fireplace or heat vent). i usually put mine in the bath tub. change out the newspaper once in a while. because once the paper is wet it cant soak up any more water.

i have put sneakers in the dryer, but if there is any leather on them it gets all crusty and hard.

If you have a blow dryer for your hair, remember, it has many other uses!  It can help you defrost you freezer and...dry your tennies.

I always use the rack for my dryer, the key is low heat and a fabric softener sheet.

As a former entertainer for an all inclusive hotel we were thrown into the pool so many times fully dressed that i lost count, i was having my sneakers hanging behind an AC machine and they were dry in less than an hour

I've alway just opened the oven door and set the shoes on that, letting the pilot dry  them.

Set them on some newspaper in front of the vent on your fridge, works everytime.
