What are your favorite re-runs on TV?

I need ideas for good re-runs to record, and watch later on TiVo. I have been recording Friends, and DH records That 70's Show, but I am getting tired of them. I already own complete DVD sets of Sex and the City, and most of the Seinfield DVDs.

What are your favorite re-runs to watch?

A personal favorite is the classic M*A*S*H.....

The best show of all time...Golden Girls! I don't have cable anymore so I can't watch it on Lifetime. [:(] But I did get the first season on DVD for Christmas this past year. I've already watched it many times!

I grew up with seinfeld. They did it in such a way that the inuendos and "adult" things just flew over my head. Didn't even realize it until I was older.

I also like the X-Files. That was the show that we weren't allowed to watch, but we did anyway. (it felt so good to defy your parents sometimes!) Me and my younger brother watched it with the lights on, and if something scary came on, we'd cover our eyes and ears until (we thought) it was over. My brother liked the blood and guts and aliens, and I liked the "unresolved tension" between Mulder and Scully.

Even at almost 20, I still get scared when I watch it sometimes. The music sends chills up my spine!!

BF and I both like Law & Order.

But, if we were talking REALLY old, I wish I could get my hands on the old "Fury" show from the 1950's...I've never seen a rerun, but when I was a tiny kid, I spent every Sat. morning watching that.  My other favorites were Rin Tin Tin, the original Lassie, and Sky King.  Anyone as old as me remember?

Different Strokes, bewitched, Good Times, Who's the Boss,  Family Ties, Growing Pains, Golden Girls, (I like the Old Ones)

    7th Heaven (Favorite)

I would say the shows that play on tv-land like Good Times, Leave It To Beaver, Andy Griffin Show, All In The Family.
Also Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeannie, Green Acres think they play on nickelodeon and Lifetime.......I Love most the old shows[:)]

I love Mash, I love Law and Order.....Mr. Ed used to be on but haven't found it lately....Lassie was always a fav too.

There are some GOOD shows on Fox and FX now....the Shield, Rescue Me, House, Nip/Tuck.

And of course WE have on tape the 2004 World Series......can watch that over and over again!

I like Roseanne, I watch it every night on nick at nite. I also love to watch All in the Family. I hated it years ago, now I find it funny.

I forgot all about Bewitched, I love that show! Also I like Roseanne and Golden Girls.

Does anyone ever see re-runs of Third Rock From the Sun or Newsradio? Those were both really funny.
    • Gold Top Dog
My favorite is Roseanne, love that show. Everyone relates me to the character Darline on that show. People i meet who watch that show, can only talk to me for 20 min and tell me how much i remind them of her.lol
I also like Who's the Boss and i LOVE law and order, can watch that show for hours straight!

I like old reruns of Rockford Files, Matlock, the early Good Times shows (before JJ took over the show) [:D], Unsolved Mysteries, The Waltons (LOL), All In The Family, The Andy Griffith Show, Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Van Dyke, ...Karin, you mentioned News Radio--I loved that show!  That was one of the funniest shows ever...such a shame about Phil Hartman-such a brilliant comedian...and Jon Lovitz couldn't hold a candle to him; he was just annoying.  But, back to my favorites, most anything from the 70's, but right now Rockford Files is my favorite.  I'm all about the young James Garner...man, he is somethin'!  [sm=yawn.gif]

Oh, gosh,  I'm the Nick-At-Night queen!  My favorite has got to be Roseanne, especially the really early ones.  Frasier is going to be coming on Lifetime too!

I completely forgot about Frasier! I really like that show, maybe I can start recording it. I am a reality show junkie, but I really need a light, funny sitcom to watch before going to sleep.
