the kodak easyshare cameras are pretty good for the money. we have one, and the only thing i dont like is that the batteries dont last long.
i really like the smallness of some of the canon "point and shoot" models, but i have never used one.
try a few out in the store. i think the main thing i would look for is zoom capabilities and lag time. lag time being ... i press the button and it takes "x" amount of time to take the pic. my parents have a fuji, and it takes a bit for it to take a pic and many of the pictures turn out blurry.
oh, and if you get an easyshare, do yourself a favor and
dont install the software that comes with it. windows should recognize the camera without installing that infernal software.

we have had ours for a couple of years now, so the megapixels on ours are less than this one, but the other features look the same.
