Jewelry: How much would you pay?

My sister makes necklaces and bracelets as a hobby. An opportunity came up where she can sell some at a small craft fair type event. She has always made them as gifts or for herself, and has never sold them before, so she has no idea on how much to charge. What do you think? How much would you pay for one of these?

    Thanks!

What's the closing mechanism? what are they made from? metal beads or gold or silver plate...etc?

I've seen those at stores for $5.99 up to $9.99. SOmething around that price would be reasonable as long as it's made with quality stuff.

I did the craft thing when I was much younger. I was told that the standard was cost x 2. So, if it cost me $3.00 to make I would charge $6.00. For a craft event I would stick to a whole number to make it easier on your sister. You could even do a discount for multiple buys.

    Good luck!

I think what Truley said sound about right, charge 2x the cost to make them.  I also like the idea of buy more and get a discount.  Like if they were $6 each then say buy 3 for $15 or by 5 and get one free, however you want to work that.

For me if definately depends on what its made out of... and my  mood, lol.  If those pendants are just cheapy things, I wouldnt buy it because you can make it so easily.  Although, I enjoy that kind of thing.  A lot of people dont tho, so they would likely buy it.[:)]

Thanks for all the input, everyone! I emailed her to ask about the clasp and materials. I know she shops at specialty bead stores, and doesn't buy the cheapy stuff at a store like Walmart or something.
