The ugly wallpaper was removed!! Pix!!

Our house was built in 1978 and is still stuck in the '70's. We bought the house in March '06 and we recently took down the wallpaper and painted the foyer and the kids' bathroom.

Here are some before and after pictures.

I love the way the pink and yellow go together, makes me think of a beach house.[;)]

Yep, the whole house looks much nicer without the wallpaper.[:D]

I like it too. Now that the color is up on the walls, DH is having second thoughts. The best thing about paint though, is that it easily painted over if you do not like it. So, who knows. Maybe in time it will change. There is more wallpaper to be removed in other sections of the house but removing the wallpaper was so easy, I am looking forward to our next painting project.

Our house is going to be very colorful by the end of this.

BTW, that yellow is a true, bright YELLOW! The pictures do not even begin to portray the color one can see with their own eye. Too bad removing the yellow costs a lot more than removing wallpaper and painting.

that pink looks FABULOUS with that yellow!
    What a nice off-set!
Let me tell you, I thank GOD that I have a brother who specializes in tile removal because I have this powder pink tile all over the walls in my bathroom and it DRIVES ME CRAZY.
The lower half of the wall is done in the pink tile and then the top half is white, but right above the tile they put a border all around. Needless to say, my bathroom looks SO busy. The first few times I walked in to pee, I got COMPLETELY distracted.
And, see, going to the bathroom is serious business, one cannot afford to be distracted, you know?
Anyway, now the tile just makes me angry.
My bathroom is our next project.

I love the bright yellow.  So cheery.  I love color.  The bathroom in our apartment is the blue equivalent, but unfortunately we got stuck with a pink kitchen.  It's not a pretty color.
