    got a haircut..

    and my wife hates it..

    Why is it ok for a wife to say right out that they hate the husbands haircut, while if the situation is reversed, the wife refuses to speak to you for a month, and only after you grovel and buy nice things..

     By the way,i am not a morning person, and hate messing with my once long hair to get it to lay down and be good..i got a BUZZ cut!!1st time in 30 years!

    it is backwards in my house, if i dont like my husbands haircut i wont tell him, but he has absolutly no problem  telling me i look like a fool. he also just got all his hair buzzed off the other day, and the next day he got a new pair of glasses, its been weirding me out for days, like who is this guy, he doesnt look bad, but he also doesnt look as familiar.

    i think its just generalized that men dont care what they look like so most women dont think twice about saying something.

    I'm the one who cuts my boyfriends hair so if I don't like it, it's my own fault.  His hair grow really slow and so he only needs it cut maybe three times a year and refuses to go to any barber in town.  I just use the guide that comes with the shavers and it turns out alright and he never complains about how I cut it.

    On the other hand I have never had my hair "cut" I've only had it trimed.  I've always had extreemly long thick hair and my boyfriend would be so upset if I cut it off, it's one of the things that attracted him to me.  I don't plan to anytime soon but I know he would go crazy if I showed up one day with short hair.

    DH and I cut what's left of his hair. There's only one way to cut it (unless he has a sort of half mullet[:'(]), so it's tough to mess it up.  My hair is extremely wavy and curly (natural) and there's only a couple of wyas I can wear it as well. Soooo, we look pretty much the same now as five years ago excpet DH's is a little greyer and mine is a little longer 0but no grey yet and I do NOT dye it![:D]).

    Being in the army, DH has to keep his hair real short. I used to cut it, but I'm not good at getting it longer on top and short on the bottom, so he started going to a barber. I do get upset if they don't do it right, though. And I tell him if I don't like it! I guess I'm not a very nice person. [:)]

    Right before we got married (this was back when I was still cutting it all one length), I told DH to go get it professionally cut so it would look real nice for the pictures. And by that I meant, longer on the top and tapered down. So what did he do? He went and paid money to cut it the same way I always did at home! I was so mad. [:@]

    MhadDog,

    I've been shaving my head for about 6 years now.  It's so much easier to take care of and the only "bad" thing is that my head gets cold in the winter...Doesn't bother me too much though, I'm almost always wearing a hat-it's a hold over from my days in the Corps.

    That pic looks from the 70's hehe [:D], i cut my own hair, with the trim machine, i save a lot of money, time and energy, everything is done in less than 10 minutes in my bathroom and yes, it looks fine

    I have to admit if you went from those long locks to a buzz cut, I'd probably be upset.  Generally I don't care how my DH's hair looks though.  His hair was almost that long but he had to cut it short for this firefighter academy he's in.  It still looks good and I know it'll grow back.  However, if I come home with my hair one inch shorter than usual (or a shade darker), my DH comments right away [8|].

    [sm=eek.gif]  I know I know, I'm bad.

    My DH is bald so we have no problems there. If I cut my hair off he would be so mad. I have not had short hair since I was 5 and 3 years ago I went in the bathroom and cut up up to my shoulders. I cried for weeks and he just laughed at me.

    Xerxes you're a man? I always thought you were a women. Sorry LOL

    My hair is long enough that even with a pony tail up high under a hard hat, it still reaches past my shoulders. Without a tail, it's halfway down my back. But, it's not growing as fast as it once did. There are a few times when I feel like cutting it. My wife no longer minds the idea of me cutting it, as 98 percent of the time, it's in a pony tail. I may eventually have to cut it, even though she's always like long hair on guys. I am increasingly faced with the proposition that I may have to go into business for myself. People tend to like the corporate look. When I'm digging a ditch, no on cares what I look like. But, when it comes to getting a contract, people tend to think that short hair makes for a better electrician. And, there's sexism. Women are allowed to have long hair but not men.

    This pic, this year.
