OMG! Another school shooting

This one in PA at an AMISH school. He shot only the girls...lined them up and shot them in the head! 3 are dead, 7 more seriously injured....no, 3 more were just reported dead, altho that is unconfirmed.

Now granted the Amish are some of the worst puppymillers, but good golly...even THAT is no reason to shoot young children! How dreadful.

This is really scary. It almost seems like there's an epidemic of this kind of stuff.

Something was said about his suicide note referencing retaliation for a wrong that was done to him 20 years ago when he was 12. Yet, he let a pregnant woman leave, let a couple women who had infants with them leave, let the boys leave, and somehow chained the girls together by the ankles and shot little girls???? What on earth did some little child do to him TWENTY years ago that he felt the need to avenge on strange little girl who didn't even KNOW him???

I can't even believe what I've heard/seen this week...they said this was the THIRD in that span of time.

Man, now I DON'T feel the least bit worried about telling Lily's teacher what I did today!

Whatever it was, the guy was obviously a fruit loop. It's just too bad that he didn't do something strange enough to get him picked up - or at least watched - before it came to something like this.

I saw that on the news this afternoon, but they did not update on how many were killed or injured. They also said the same thing was happening today in Las Vegas. Very, very sad. Like you said about the puppy mill. I thought about the 20/20 special they did on the amish and I figured this was related to what the special talked about.
I just could not imagine being a parent and hearing that there was a shhoting at our school. You don't know if your child is alive and you wait for answers. This world has gone to $hit.

There was a shooting in Vegas too?? Oh yes, little children should definately pay for the ills of the world.....and peoples obsessions......and I'm the Queen of England (just better looking and with better tastes in dogs)

All the news said was they were going to get coverage on a simular situation happening in Las Vegas at the moment. But I have yet to see an update.

Wow, i just turned on the TV to CNN. They are saying these people have never seen violence like this, the do not have TV or eletricity.

There was a shooting at a college in Montreal 2 weeks ago. It obviously received tons of coverage. I couldn't help but fear that all the publicity was going to result in similar tragedies. Unfortunately my fears were realized.

I am so sick about this. What could those LITTLE girls have done to him to cause such rage? Even though the Mennonite & Amish are notorious for puppy mills, my heart & prayers go out to the families & friends of those affected by this. It's just too horrific to imagine.

I'm so hyper aware of these kind of situations. I'm in our emergency room all day and I'm always afraid that some fruit loop is going to shoot up our ER because they didn't get the pain drugs they wanted or some irate family member is upset that we couldn't save their loved one. But SCHOOLS? I'll never understand it. SCARY.

first there is no excuse for something like this of course but i wonder..

the note supposedly speaks of revenge from 20 years ago.i wonder if he was amish and left.

We live near an Amish community,and i can tell you from experience that they have ways which may not be considered great when it comes to kids,or even animals.Granted this is not the whole lot of them,but i have seen things (spare the rod spoil the child)and have heard stories from my friends who are neighbors about the treatment of dogs that were on the property next door.It is a very closed community,up here anyway,and you have to wonder what goes on sometimes.

I wonder too. What could make a person snap after 20 long years? I have heard the stories about the Amish here too. My friend has a dairy farm and some work for him. I always found it creepy that they would never make eye contact with me. I always thought it was because I'm a women that drives a truck and wears pants and some how that made ME the evil one. They police their own and if you confess and are sorry, they can pretty much get away with anything as long as the outside doen't get involved.
