Thinking of walking out of my job...

I'm here at work right now, after another run in with my "boss" I swear this man has nothing good to say about anything, racist, and a complete moron. Plus he has spies come in and watch and complain to him about things that arent really important. Example...lights are the wrong color, Who wants neon pink lights outside a restaurant/bar?!!?
Another example, last night we made $117,000HKD in one night! so busy, no complaints, he shows up and tells me I have to make my staff run they aren't moving fast enough and why are people standing up? (duh! no seats left thats why they are standing) He didn't like that answer. Sorry i'm ranting a bit now...anyways, the other reason is we just got paid. I have a good bank account built up now to last a month or 3. I keep telling myself I dont need this s#!t, even though I put up with worse when I was in the military. But at least then you knew who the bad guys were...
I'm seriously thinking about just walking on out, I've had other offers that pay 2 times as much, and I get insurance for my wife and myself, and my staff here said they would leave if I leave. Maybe I'll start a small mutiny....hmmmm....

The only thing stopping you is yourself. Sometimes, the better things in life require the step of faith to get there. What you put up with in the military usually had a purpose. This guy, however, is just being a pain because he can, and for no good reason. At the very least, if you ran into similar situations at a new job, it would be for more money. You might have to put up with twits but at leas you could be well-paid for it.

Yea, I know i'm the only one stopping myself from leaving, I already gave my one month notice (as required by law) I decidedto be a pain in the @ss for a few days before I do it. I called him tonight to ask if it was ok to open a bottle of wine for a guest, and then a beer, and then if one of my staff could take a break....
Tomorrow I'm going to ask if I can go to the bathroom...d

Here, in America, giving notice is polite but not required. A person can just up and leave if it suits them.

    two weeks  notice is fine

Even 1 weeks notice, thats all I gave when I left my last job to go to another.

You have to remember now employers are not like they were 10 years ago. I keep getting told that. Really they don't care about you.

Employers are not dedicated to you now, so why should you be dedicated to them. I sure as s#!t wouldn't stay with some one if I got offered better pay by someone else, and I wont work for someone thats treats employees like crap.
