Good luck to you. While living in Dallas when my first wife was still alive, she told of how here neighbor had gone off to join the FBI. She was interviewed by personnel investigators as to what kind of neighbor he was, etc. So, most of a govt job, from what I saw was background work and it sounds like, as you've said, you passed most of the hurdles and he didn't draw any negative exception to your answers.

I had a friend who was a U.S. Marshal and he seem to enjoy his work. It was interesting and more varied than you could imagine.

Update...this is the day the boss said he was going to decide who to hire.it is 7:44 pm,and i havnt heard a word,and he did say he would contact me either way by the end of the week..

My brother asked him point blank today if i got the job,and he just smiled and said mums the word,and he couldnt tell .

Of the seven people i went to the initial orientation with,i picked right the two who were to advance this far.I am up against two girls(that sounds much better in writing)for the same position.i guess i will just have to wait and see..

Isn't the waiting just grueling? I'd think that the response and smile that the boss gave your brother is a positive sign though. Is it possible for you to call the boss tomorrow and ask him if he's made a decision?

YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

I just got the call,and have been offered the job!!!!

I just need to complete a physical and will be starting in November!
