    Television shows we love

Because I know my v show has only one year I am looking to find another show that I could be hooked on. What tv shows do you guys like. When are they on and why do you like them so much

Now the only shows I really care to watch are

Gilmore Girls (great show about a mom and daughter and the people in their lives.) It comes on at 8:00 - 9:00pm Eastern Standard time on tuesdays

Kyle XY - ( fun mystery! Who is Kye? He was found naked in the woods with no memory of his past. He also has no belly button.) This was on during the summer 8:00 - 9:00pm Eastern Standard time on Mondays.

now it is your turn everyone!

I watch tv purly for entertainment, so my favorites are just that, not very impressive. I love "House, Crossing Jordan, and Law and Order athough not the same without Jerry Orbach." I also love the oldies. I have all 6 seasons of Dr. Quinn on DVD and am collecting more tv DVDs. I have 5 seasons of Columbo.I am waiting for The Practice, Beauty and the Beast and Spenser for Hire to be released to DVD I don't why they haven't been yet. So you see I love the fun stuff .

I don't really watch TV at all, since we have only a couple channels and nothing is ever on them [8|] When I'm at someone else's house and we watch TV I like America's Funniest Home Videos, Extreme Home Makeover, and the channels with my favorite movies on them! I'll watch Animal Planet too, occasionally.

the 3 dont miss shows here are family guy, the simpsons and house.

simpsons and family guy are just funny ( i am a sucker for adult-geared cartoons),and house is about as serious as it gets around here, if my husband were a doctor that would be him [sm=lol.gif]

The Golden Girls, Desperate Housewives, The Simpsons, Big Brother, Survivor and American Idol.

I liked MacGuyver. He solved problems with his brain, rather than the rest of the cop show shoot-em-ups. So, of course, they had to cancel the series.

    I like "Psych" and "Monk."

I like "House" even though it seems that they flail through one solution after another, each one nearly killing the patient until, at the very end, House has an epiphany. But I appreciate his bed side manner. He's not worried about you feeling nice. He is about getting you well, and you can feel nice later.

    These are "my shows"

    Stargate SG1 - SciFi Friday 9:00pm
Stargate Atlantis - SciFi Friday 10:00pm
I like Eurekia (sp?) - SciFi Tuesday 9:00pm but I haven't been "into" it yet

The 4400 - USA Sunday 9:00pm (during the Summer)

Grey's Anatomy- was Sunday 10:00pm but I think they changed it after last season

And, of course, I like Wildlife Documentaries (animal planet, Discovery, Nat. Geo), E-Vets (A.P.) and the Animal Cops shows (A.P.)... Animal Cops comes on too late for me to watch though... I have to be in bed by 10pm on "school days" or I don't function the next day *sigh*

Another House fan here. It's formulaic but fun.

I was almost going to start a thread just like this because I am so excited for the new season of The Wire. I just finished watching the first three seasons on DVD. I think season 4 starts Sunday (??) on HBO. This is easily the best show on TV now... and maybe ever. Each season follows part of the Baltimore police, some drug dealers, and other characters (one season it was union dock workers, another small time politicians, etc). The writing, the characters, the plot lines are incredibly intelligent, naturalistic, and gripping. BF and I caught a couple of "making of" specials this past weekend that made me appreciate it even more, hearing the writers & actors talk about it. Both writers are former Baltimore police and they really care about the topics they show... this season is about inner city schools and the importance of education. It's not easy to get into because there are so many characters and a lot of regional slang, but once you do get into it, it's like reading a great book you'll never forget.

    Gilmore Girls is still on?

Let's see.....House, Nip Tuck, 24, The Shield, Law and Order, ER, Bones, Without a Trace, Crossing Jordon, Lifetime USED to have a good one and I don't know if that's coming back or not....I think it was 1 800 Missing...followed Strong Medicine which I LOVED.....

I'm more a drama gal than the sitcoms or reality shows...

Sports wise, it's NASCAR and the PBR.  But my all time favorite (besides Days) is Dallas.  All these years after it went off the air, I still miss it!
