What's the WORST movie you've ever seen?

The only movie I've walked out on was The Devil's Own with Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt.

I ALMOST walked out on The Da Vinci Code. That movie was soooo bad. I read the book and loved it, but the movie was a  . . .a . . . . .it was a travesty. [:(

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I shudder to think I spent $9 to see it in the theater..I damn near left. Only stayed because my friend (who was my ride) wanted to finish watching it.

    Jim Carey's worst. Easily.

I loved this movie! [:D]  I thought it was so creative and unique. I enjoyed this movie very much.

The only movie that comes to my mind, right now, is "The Family Stone." OMG, I thought it was a comedy... not the worst movie ever!

    Honestly?

    Good Will Hunting

Kind of a dumb story that didn't really go anywhere, the ending was dumb. Not to mention half the script is the F-word. It's not like I'm totally against the F-word, just saying they say it so much it seems like when they were writing it they were like "Hmmm..... we need to fill in more time, oh I know! Say the F-word twice in every sentence!"

    What a great thread!

My all time least favorite movie ever is My Best Friend's Wedding. I know I'll probably get outcast for saying that, but what a horrible movie! It wasn't the acting, I loved the cast. It was the story--I hated it!

BTW, I also loved the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I thought it was compelling.

Oh, I have to put in a vote for Hostel also. Hopefully no one else has ever seen it, but if you're thinking about it--don't!

Most of you are too young to remember the absolute worst movie of all time.  An animated dandy called "Fantastic Planet."  From the mid 1970's, I think.  Even if I had popped a couple of hits of acid, before going in, it would still have sucked.

This is so funny because I loved The Family Stone and Good Will Hunting! [:D
    Especially Good Will Hunting.

By far, the absolute WORST movie I have ever seen, would be Napoleon Dynamite.
    Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible!!!!
It bugs the heck out of me that all through the movie, the kid couldn't figure out how to close his mouth. It was always hanging open.

It seems that when I talk to people about that movie, they either loved it or hated it. I absolutely despise it.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but it was with Tom Hanks who ended up on a deserted island and his only companion was Wilson the volleyball.  It was over 2 hours of total boredom.  Another of those that makes a person think "what was TH thinking?".  Did he need the money that bad???

BTW, I loved "Smokey & the Bandit"!!!  We saw it twice in the theatres (I was 10 when it came out).  My family owned several Trans Ams, so my brother and I thought the car was totally cool.  I had a crush on Burt Reynolds and loved the dog Fred (bassett hound).  I remember my mom laughing hysterically at the Jackie Gleason's portrayal of the sheriff - she thought it was hilarious.

And, yes, I've watched the rerun on cable, too.

You're thinking of Cast Away. I thought it wasn't bad, not my favorite of Tom's though. BTW, I love Tom's son Colin, so cute!

ETA: Ash beat me to it. ;-)

    I keep thinking of more.

I didn't like Unbreakable and The Village. I haven't seen Lady in the Water, but I haven't heard too many good things about it. Unbreakable was horrible and The Village was a huge disappointment for me.

i didnt care for unbreakable or the village. the village was especially horrible.

it seems that m. night has a good build up (ie. the previews always get me excited), but not good on the follow through (ie. the movies suck). signs was ok, and sixth sense was alright too, but neither were great. i was excited about lady in the water when i first saw previews, but that has faded. guess now i am waiting for the dvd.
