I have a lot of all these different types of friends too. I went to private school all the way through high school and then to a few different colleges. I made a lot of different types of friends and could almost be categorized as all of the above from preppy to stoner!
So here is what some of my friends did in the past year. We started a supper club. We met once a month and there was a chart that everything revolved around. We got the idea actually from the mothers of a few of our friends. People invited people when we were trying to get it together. So everyone would bring one thing, be it an appetizer, main dish, vegetable, wine/beer, things to eat off of, supply the place, etc etc, you get the idea. A lot of us knew each other and a lot of us really didn't. We had the greatest time for about a year and always ended up drinking too much and have so much fun.

eople who weren't into it as much would just leave earlier and it was no big deal. We always did it on a Thursday night. We were all b/w 26-30 and it eventually fell apart as people started having babies and stuff but it was so much fun while it lasted.
I say go for it. More than likely, everyone will have a good time for some period of time and if they aren't they will leave early.

robably all of them would embrace an evening of fun with the girls at someones house. That is what a party is all about. Even if it is a one time thing and you provide all the food and drinks, I think you and your friends will probably have a great time. You never know, some people you thought might never have anything in common may get a long better than you ever thought. As long as you have fun, that is what really matters! Maybe it will be a hit and someone else will want to have the same sort of gathering next.
