LOL!! Well I already got the man, we're planning on getting married in a year or so but in the meantime we're busy "practicing" on baby making before we decide to actually make one. [:D]

You don't mean you're having sex before you're married?    Does your mother know about this?  [:)]

I am 26 and have absolutely no interest in having children.  I don't think you could even pay me a huge amount of money to consider it.

If you want to lose the urge to have children, go volunteer at a local school... in a classroom.  That will turn you off when you see the students' behaviors etc. and realize they will be your childs' friends or worse... what you have to deal with!

I tried to tell my mom I was a virgin but I don't think she believed me. [:D]

I think once I moved in with my boyfriend my parents just somehow knew.  We want to get married someday but we just don't have the $$$ for that now, at least not for the kind of wedding I want.  Without kids we can waite as long as it takes to save up for that perfect wedding.

My dream wedding- On a boat in Alaska (where he is from) near a glacer just far enough away to hear the ice cracking and falling into the sea.  My dress will be a simple winter dress laced with fluffy triming.  I will only have closes family and maybe a few close friends.

His idea- a trip to Vegas [8|]

If we have kids befor that I can forget about my dream wedding.

I have three boys, ages 16, 7, and my little guy will be 6 in a few weeks.  I had a tubal ligation after Seth was born and really the only time I regret it is "that time of the month."  For some reason, that time is REALLY bad for me, physically and emotionally and it's gotten much worse since Seth was born.  I know my hormones are off but the only solution seems to be going on the pill and I don't know if the side effects of that are worth it. Xebby - fwiw, I got married in Vegas, just the two of us, and we had so much fun.  My first wedding was a big church wedding and I didn't want a repeat of that so Vegas was perfect.  In fact, we got married at The Chapel of Love!  I know it's not for everyone, though, lol.

That does not bother me at all. There have been days I have had 10 children in my care at home. I could of had another 10. Kids do not bother me, even the bratty ones. I just know how to deal with them.  At the young ages, they just need to be entertained. And when my children are older and have a 'bad" friend. I would try and help the friend or my child would not be allowed to be with the kid.

I could knock this one out of the ballpark, but I am just too much the gentleman.  [:)]

Children's behavior could change if parents and teachers were allowed to discipline the children. My parents were not against having children because I was born in a time where you could discpline children and not let them turn into monsters.

    Amen.

If parents did their job there would be no need for the school to be disciplining. Unfortunately the teachers have to deal with kids who have never been taught respect for others.

I am not going to necessarily disagree with you Denise, but if a kid acts up AT SCHOOL, there ought to be consequences, AT SCHOOL.  There certainly was when I was in school.

I wish we'd have done the Vegas thing--lol!  I can't complain about our wedding, it went really well, but we would may have had a house by now if we had gone ahead and eloped, and my mom made it clear that she would be there no matter where I go married (not that having her there would bother me).

Christina, the daughter of a friend got married about a year ago.  The only child.  Spoiled all her life.  She was about 25 when she decided to get married.  Her dad told her if she wanted to elope, he would give them $10,000.  If she wanted a wedding, he would pay $10,000 toward the cost of it.  She chose the big wedding.

Okay, Billy, LOL, I've been away from this thread for a while.  My hormones are back on so let's go!

Same here, Billy.  I was in Catholic schools, and those nuns could really wield a mean yardstick. [:D]
