    Am I wrong, or...

I klicked on the Shiba link and they look like them to me, but I have only seen a few and they were all adults.  I am not sure about the color though!

Someone on here has a black and tan Shiba....  they posted pics a while back.

IMO, most puppies look the about the same at 6 weeks.  All fluffy and cute and cuddly...  [:D]

Do these NOT look like Shiba Inus?

If you mean the pups in the Shiba link, they look like Shibas to me.  If you mean the pups on the page with the links, thos pups don't look like any of the breeds listed.

Um, whatever they are, they are definitely a puppy mill. [:(]

I was thinking puppy mill also. With so many breeds all in one spot... They say they are "inspected" by the AKC, what does that even mean?

I think the pups look like shibas but I would defintaly turn away from that place if I was looking for a dog they clame to have.

Can you say "puppy mill?"  But yes, those look like cuddly little shiba pups...only they won't be so cuddly or so cute after they've killed your couch cushions...

My mistake!  I had never even heard of a black and tan Shiba Inu.  If someone here has pics of one I'd love to see.
This site was advertised in a local swap and sell mag we get here in Maine.  I would agree....puppy mill was all I could see.
Xerxes....lol....yes I know all about eaten couch cushions!  I have 4 Ryukyu Inus and they were (and sometimes still are) the chewing-est puppies I have EVER had!

    woah..whats a Ryukyu Inu??

Yeah, those look like Shiba puppies, and yeah, that's probably a puppy mill. [:(]

My dog, in my avatar, is some kind of shiba inu mix (though after a few weeks of ownership, I'm more inclined to say she looks more Cattle Dog? But she *does* look a lot like the black and tan Shibas as well so maybe she's got a bit of both in her. You never know with Mystery Mutts. [;)])

And on that note, heeeeere's a new pic of her from today for all you puppy people to enjoy! [:D] We took her to one of the parks by us. She was a *very* happy dog. I think she ranks this high on her Best Days List (although now it's storming and she hates thunder...so maybe not![:)])

Glad your girl had such a good time today a_k_s!  She sure is a cutie!

    Whatshouldmyloginbe,
Ryukyu Inus come from Okinawa unlike Shiba Inus who originated on mainland Japan.  They are a little larger than Shibas, but smaller than Akitas.  Very little info on the 'net about them. Most of my info has come from my daughter-in-law, who is Okinawan. They have similar temperaments to other Inus. I have posted about them before here, but it was awhile ago.  Of course, like everyone else here, I Love to talk about my dogs :-), so if you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer!

They all look like very young, weak versions of the breed listed ... except for the Corgi.  It looks more like a bad Pomeranian -- hopefully it was a mistake picture.  I really hope that the pups are older than they are in those pics when they leave - they're infants!  :(

my sister has a shiba and she definitaly is a very different dog

I was just about to post about that.  No Corgi that I've ever seen looks like that pup.  Corgi puppies are all ears, and from my experience, their ears aren't fully erect until 14-15 weeks.  Maybe it's part Corgi, but no purebred.

Yep that is pretty much what a shiba pup looks like, they come in 3 accepted colors, and most people have seen cream ones, not an accepted color, but not a b&t, that is so very sad.  It makes me mad when I see more pintos and red headed b&t's then the 3 acctual colrs, arggg, BYB and puppymills suck>
