*WARNING: Woman stuff* Bra size

I know... I have 32Ds and Cs through 34Ds and Cs... none of them fit...[&:]  If Im bigger than a D Im going to die...

I think most women wear cup sizes that are too small.  I still can't believe I'm a C.  I keep thinking the lady made an error or something.  They just don't look like they're Cs at the most, I must be a B.  ha!  Denial....

I also think part of the reason we have so many bras in so many sizes is because we do change sizes in our lives.  For example, I know some women who get "fuller" right before their menstural cycle (I, being one of them).  Some may have shed some pounds which has caused them to become smaller.  The funny thing is, we just keep buying the bras!  Hoping that we'd find one that fits perfectly!

Having a baby will change your size sometimes, too.  Of course with pregnancy, but even after giving birth.

Geesh, if men only had to deal with half the things we do!

Not that I don't think getting a good fitting done isn't a great idea, cause I do and I should do it too.  However, it seems that bra sizes can change dramatically depending on what type you buy.  For example, those demi push-up type bras can make an A cup look like a double EE [:)].  Same with bathing suit tops.  Sometimes there's so much padding that there's no room for the real thing.  I've also found that just like with clothing, the price you pay can dramatically affect the sizing.  Try on a pair of Jones of New York pants and then try the same size pants on at Walmart and you'll wonder what the hecks going on.

I've noticed that too.  I can buy one C cup that I'm falling out of and another that I practically have to stuff to get to fit properly.

I got sized at VS, as a 34C. So I try the bra on and I was so busting out of it. I told her I'm a 34 D and to please get me the right size. After she argued with me that this wasn't the right size for me and I even showed her what I looked like in the C, she finally got me the D. She brought back this demi- cup, padded, push up thing and I was like " I'm not trying to look bigger than I am", " can you please get me a full fitting, non- padded bra". I swear the things I go through just because I'm a woman.

They just don't make small band sizes with big cup sizes. I probably should go get fitted, and see what size I am, for sure. Last time I attempted to measure myself, I was a 32D. I wear 34Cs, though, b/c I have found ONE 32D, in my life. I'm probably not even right, though, LOL.

Exactly! Okay, I was being coy but this is exactly my problem. I wear 34Cs and the fit sucks. I know I'm a 32D but they're next to impossible to find. I couldn't find ONE at Target, not a single one.

Oh, and I meant to add another thing I learned on that Oprah show that I didn't know is that the cup on a 32D is actually smaller than the cup on a 36D. They get bigger by about a half inch w/ each increase in band size!

I know, I was watching TV with my brother once and an add for Victoria's Secret came on. He was like "Nice!" Then I go, "They're really uncomfortable". He couldn't believe me, he was like "Really?!"

When my mom tried to make me wear one for the first time I ran away from home for a couple hours, lol.

See, I'm kind of... blunt, LOL! It seems that we 32Ds are more common than we thought. We should write a letter, or something.  Inspired by this thread, I went and measured my chest, and it's only 30". I'm wearing a 34" band. No wonder I'm uncomfortable! LOL

Ok, I have to chime in here.  IMHO, bras are NEVER comfortable.  I wear a 40DD and get a basic style at WalMart cheap.  They are more comfortable than the more expensive ones and I wear ALL of them out in a hurry, so the $30.00 fall apart just as fast as the $4.00 ones. Hence, $4.00 plain-jane styles.

Where did everyone go to be fitted for the 'right size' bra?  I've been to VS but I don't think the girls working there know how to begin measuring for the right size.  My cousin is a double G (has to special order bras that would probably fit my head!! hehe)  and finally getting reduction surgery (I'm hoping to go in with so I can have the leftovers LOL).

BTW, I'm still giggling about calling the girls 'mammies'.  I love that![sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]

I go braless. I burned my bra back in the 60's.

Thanks! I went to VS and got sized. I wasn't even going to get sized, but the lady came over and started bugging me. I let her size me and I'm glad she did. Just ask someone next time you go in there.

And the funniest "boob" names I've heard came straight from Dave Chapelle: Chesticles and milk bladders.

I'm in Canada (Alberta to be exact and Edmonton to be even more exact).  No VS here but we do have La Senza (same concept...lingirie/bra/panties store) and they're the ones that sized me.
